BCN Taste & Tradition
BCN Taste & Tradition, the name gives a nod to Barcelona and the meld of traditional and modern Spanish cuisine. Chef Luis Roger has just relocated from Girona, Spain - trained under Michelin Chef Ferran Adria at elBulli- and taught at the renowned culinary school Aula Gastronomica de l’Emporada.
Located on a 1920’s era Victorian home in the trendy Montrose/Museum District (4210 Roseland St.). BCN Taste & Tradition will recreate an authentic Spanish style dining experience with unparalleled service. The menu will showcase all the fantastic, cutting-edge haute cuisine that put Spain on the world stage.
BCN never disappoints. Great food in a beautiful artistic house. Paco is the best!!!!
Best restaurant in Houston in our opinion. Excellent customer service, food, and ambiance. Can’t beat that.
Absolutely fantastic. We love BCN.
This was my favorite restaurant but on the last visit I was disappointed. The branzino was cold and flavorless with a side of grill vegetables that seemed very plain.
Service was outstanding!! Mario is the man!
All ocasiones
My favorite restaurant in all of Houston. Reliable and refined!
We came for my birthday dinner and picked the 8 course Tasting menu for 2. The service and ambiance were great and the food was delicious.
Awesome experience as always. BCN never disappoints !! Mario was great also!!
Excellent meal as always
Great food and atmosphere. I felt the table spacing was good. They also had good COVID safety protocols. It was a great way to celebrate the new year.
The food was delicious and the flavors were amazing. The ambiance was very quaint for a nice romantic dinner for two or to bring your family and have a good time. Service was on point and helpful.
Once again another incredible meal and experience. Made my wife's half century better since we could travel to Spain as we intended. Next best thing.
Best dinner of the year!
The food and service are always great. Wine list is wonderful and varied. Covid precautions were very good.
Great food and atmosphere. Never felt rushed and service was very good. Great date night.
Best fine dining restaurant experience in Houston. Food is fabulous and service is Mich three star quality.
Excellent meal, better than expected as we tend to be a bit more harsh than the norm. Attentive service and outstanding food with normal (aka non-Texan) portion size.
What a fabulous dining experience! The ambiance was understated elegance and the service was first class! We sat at the bar and had a drink before going to our table. Classy glassware and interesting wine options and stunningly beautiful cocktails. The real star was the food! Happy Happy taste buds! The bread alone was to die for! We had two apps: spicy shrimp and a scallop appetizer. Both were fantastic. My husband had the stuffed quail entree and I had the salmon carpaccio. The visual is too beautiful to even describe and the flavors. . .sigh! Desserts were outstanding as well. This was such a treat for a milestone birthday but I will return. . .just because it is so worth it!
I guess you never get tired of absolute perfection!
25th anniversary
The gin and tonic selections are incredible and delicious. The food and service was outstanding. Jesus was our waiter and there is no one better. He was knowledgeable and extremely attentive. I highly recommend BCN for a great evening.
BCN just happens to be the most elegant and unique dining experience in Houston. The gin and tonics are the go to cocktail and then consider a bottle of Clio to bring your dinner to its optimum tasting. Paco and his team are the epitome of customer service and if you are lucky you just might get the best table - at the fireplace.
Excelente cena, mejor restaurante español.
Amazing. We loved it
Finest food, service and ambiance in town....in my humble opinion.
Fantastic service great cocktails and strong Spanish wine selection. Visit from the head chef and owner as well as the the birthday dessert we’re examples of the thoughtful touches that make you feel welcome and appreciated. Definitely a wonderful evening
Lupita was a wonderful server. She took the best care of us on our first visit. Every bite was perfection.
This is by far one of the best dining experiences in Houston. Consistently creative menu and superior service. Lamb chops are the best in town. Spanish wine and gin selections are superb.
BCN is by far the best restaurant in town. My husband grew up in Cataluña and he feels right at home at BCN. The service is outstanding.
It was absolutely Charming and Beautiful Ambiance..! Very romantic atmosphere..! Can not wait to return to this inspiring restaurant..! We recently moved from Chicago and this restaurant is one of a kind..! We would not miss Chicago..! Food Capital of the Entire World.! Hey
It was our first time at BCN and maybe I was expecting too much since this place is usually named in the top 10 romantic restaurants in Houston. We chose BCN for our wedding anniversary.
As per the decor, I would rather call it upscale business restaurant. The place is very clean and with nice neutral colored rooms, but tables were a little bit plain (not sure if this could be due to COVID-19 measures). Since the restaurant is in a repurposed house, it only had single bathroom for each gender per floor; though they were well appointed, you may have to wait in line to use it.
Employees were attentive, even though it was kind of a busy evening. They were well dressed/nice tailored cut giving a posh feeling to the establishment.
Food is mostly good with a few misses. The tuna tartare amuse bouche and the croquettes were delicious. I did not know what to do with the bread which was accompanied by salt and olive oil, so I treated it as I do in italian restaurants. The lentil soup needed a little bit more ham flavor. My wife did not care for the lobster, but my duck breast was delicious. For dessert we opted for the creme brulee filled filo dough; It was good.
The bar makes a good selection of gin cocktails and sangria. The wine list showcased mostly Spanish wines and they were good.
I would have BCN in mind for business meals, not for romantic soirees.
BCN consistently offers the best dinning experience in Houston. The dishes are perfectly executed and the level of service they offer is unparalleled. Patatas bravas, octopus, suckling pig are a must as well BCN’s G&Ts. Oh and don’t leave without having Gypsy’s Arm and the Torta de Santiago for dessert. It’s also important to know that BCN goes above and beyond in following COVID-19 safety protocols. Thank you for making my birthday feel extra special this year!
This was a beautiful experience from beginning to end. I have to say the food and presentation were excellent. The wait staff was through in their explanation of special dishes and answering questions. I will definitely be back. A very fine, classy restaurant!
Excelente comida, servicio y musica.
Excellent food. Fantastic staff. Impeccable wine list.
My birthday dinner was amazing. The food were good. Really happy with the experience
One of the best restaurants in Houston! The food was amazing, great cocktails, nice ambiance. Highly recommended.
BCN always demonstrates why they are at or near the top of the restaurant pyramid in Houston, and our recent visit only reinforced my impression. The front of the house, run by Paco Calza, operates smoothly and with class, and Paco will make you feel as welcome as he would if you were his best friend. The food is always tremendous but is also constantly evolving, and the Fall menu currently in use exemplifies this. Instead of finding one or two things in other restaurants I might enjoy, I had great difficulty trying to decide on just about everything. Whatever you choose, you will love it. The wine list features some wonderful Spanish wines and their gin and tonic menus is easily the best in Houston. Great for special occasions even in the limited seating environment we have now, BCN is well worth the cost.
Amazing !!! It’s a delightful experience to my palate , view & good taste !! Definitely recommend BCN , personalized customer service our host Mario is one of a kind very knowledgeable and all recommendations were great !
