As always the good was good. However the service was so bad that it detracted from our whole experience. The waiter was very inattentive. We had the attempt many times to get his attention to even get our bill. Have been to Beatrix many times but have noticed that wait staff is not as good as it used to be.
Have enjoyed breakfast at the St. Clair location. Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
They were running 30 min behind in reservations then we were at a table right by the door where the cold air would hit us every time the door was opened. Nothing but a sorry we are busy. Won’t be returning to this location.
Good place to get out of the cold and get a meal. Food came fast, but the meal was just mediocre. Salad was way too dressed and vegetarian option seemed mass produced.
Wonderful place to start your typical chilly morning in Chicago. Great food, awesome coffee & sweets to go along with the experience.
We needed a good place for Sunday brunch to meet some friends, and Beatrix - Streeterville was the ideal place. A great location, seated right away, and a solid offering for brunch. The menu provided a good mix of standard options and innovative ones like cauliflower grits and eggs. Our food was excellent, along with the coffee. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall, a solid experience!
Always love this restaurant and have a great experience. Highly recommend.
The food and service was very good. We had a reservation for 6, but we only ended up having 5 and there were no issues with the change. We were seating right away and the waitress was fantastic. I had the pork shank and it was so good. We also ordered a slice of their pumpkin pecan pie for the table to try and they ended up bringing us 2 slices on them. Everything was very good and I would highly recommend this place.
Some friends prefer the food at the one on LaSalle. I have found no difference. Food is really tasty and waitstaff was great!
Great food! The avocado toast is delicious.
My first visit and I was wowed by the personal service
Thanks for a great family brunch spot!! Service and food were amazing, a wonderful dining experience!
I’ve been here for breakfast and dinner. Both excellent. Food is wonderful. Had pancakes and eggs your way for breakfast. Hash browns esp delicious. Had the chicken Bebe and Neatloaf for dinner. Very different but both had nice flavor and the right size portions. Highly recommend for breakfast or dinner. Excellent, friendly waitstaff.
Great time at Beatrix. Didn't expect much as we walked by but was pleasantly surprised once we got inside. The place was cute and vibrant. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the tastiest burger and my daughter who is super picky had the pumpkin ravioli and ate the whole plate. She loved it. My husband had the turkey meatloaf with side of greens and it was healthy and tasty. Loved that the menu was filled with healthy but delicious options. The waitress even surprised us by not charging my daughter for her dessert since it was her birthday! Great place, will definitely go back whenever in Chicago again.
As always, the food was delicious. Good selection of entrees. Turkey meatloaf is the best. Good service and overall a good experience.
Great service and delicious food. Pork chop was amazing!!!
This was my first visit with a couple of friends and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, very well flavored and unique food choices, as well as the friendly service. I didn't know what to expect but definitely plan on going back in the future.
Beatrix is always a great choice! I go here with groups, date and when people come in from out of town. Never disappoints!
We loved our brunch so much we came back twice during our weekend stay in Chicago! We had our three children with us who loved the lemon pancakes. Perfect brunch and can’t wait to return!
Good healthy food. Have been here several times for lunch and it never fails to please.
It is time to change the menu—the tried and true is tired and worn out.
Love it here ! Fresh food and fun vibe such a dream
Great brunch food, great service. Busy but didn't feel hectic. Would recommend
Beatrix has become a go-to spot for awesome breakfast whenever I’m in Chicago, and has yet to disappoint. This weekend was no different. Lemon ricotta pancakes are worth the trip!
Not only was the food delicious and service exceptional, we were able to have a leisurely breakfast (group of 7) without feeling rushed during the busy weekend brunch period. Can't wait to go back!
Was disappointed with my Beatrix experience having heard people raving about the original location. I arrived before my friend, but the hostess was able to seat me fairly quickly after I arrived. The waitress approached me and took my drink order and then I proceeded to wait 15 minutes before my glass of wine arrived. The waitress did serve drinks to the table in front of me and drop off and pick up the check for the table next to me, but no wine. When the wine final arrived it was a tiny pour, more like a taste, and had something floating on top. Once we got the wine sorted we placed our order, and the food came out fairly quickly. We ordered a salad and the chicken Bebe (both to share). The chicken was tasty, but the salad was wilted, like it had been dressed earlier and sat for a while. Overall, this experience was nothing special.
Great food and wine!
I love the Beatrix family of restaurants...the food is delicious.
The only hiccup was the server—-she kept coming by the table asking if we were ready to order; we barely had a moment to get comfortable! This continues throughout the meal, and I felt like she was trying to turn the table.
So happy to find this restaurant! The food was outstanding. Best gazpacho I've had in a long time! The entire crew there was wonderful. Can't wait to come back
We went for our friends birthday lunch. Everyone had delicious salads and the dessert was terrific!
Came here for breakfast on my last morning in Chicago. Nice ambiance, good food, excellent service. Would definitely return.
Typically consistent, Beatrix Streeterville fell short. The salad was WAY WAY overdressed, the brussel sprouts were cold and sauce was goopy and the short rib and sides were luke warm. We have been to Beatrix over 30 times and really disappointed.
Good basic menu. Had a very attentive server. Carmel pie is outstanding
Visited Chicago at the end of our 10 day vacation. Needed some vegetables and this satisfied my husband’s American food and my vegetarian needs. Had great dinner and the next morning an even better breakfast. Highly recommend the veggie lasagna and cauliflower grits.
We sat at the table just to the left of the kitchen door at a three-top. It was pretty dirty around us - the floor, and ESPECIALLY, the wall behind/next to the bench seat. Since I was sitting in a chair facing that wall, it was pretty gross. Obviously, people touch the wall as they are squeezing themselves into the bench seat, but but it looks like it has never been wiped clean or repainted! I just felt like the whole area was unclean (and I am not a clean freak, believe me!).
The food was good, but not good enough to go back. My first time there, over a year ago, was a much better experience.
Our waitress and the sweet young lady in training were very nice!
Service pretty much nonexistent. Host tossed down menus. Waiter disappeared after we got our meal. Showed up once to check if we wanted more wine. Food was good enough. I’ve eaten here several times, but now nothing more than its location convenient to work would make me go back.
Quinoa cakes and poached eggs were amazing!! A quiet place to have fun with friends
We were pleasantly surprised by our experience for dinner. We were just looking for a casual bite ( 10 of us, 3 who were doing the marathon the next morning) but it turned out to be a great night! A lively atmosphere and wide (inventive) food choices provided something for everyone. A neat place.
Good but expensive for what you get. More options or lower priced entrees or bigger portions would raise my rating.
