Benihana - Houston - Downtown, TX

I masked people coughing whole lot eating made for an uncomfortable experience. Waiter seemed strictly concerned with a tip and once he got it he couldn’t even politely say goodbye. Not a grateful response to an 18% top, in my opinion.

Really disappointed in the quality and amount of the meat they serve. For the price, it wasn't worth it.

Had a reservation for 8:45 and waited an hour to be seated. Once seated we had to wait an additional 45 minutes before our chief came and cooked our meal. Upon walking into the establishment it was extremely hot and smokey inside. Customers were literally taking turns going outside to get "fresh air". It was an extremely uncomfortable dining experience.

Reservations were at 7 pm waited, was sat down ordered and I saw other people get sat down after us and got their order started. Literally left at 10pm and didn’t receive anything. Servers were very rude! Never again

Went to Benihana this past Saturday for a birthday party of 6. Food was great, our chef was excellent, they only complain I have is that we had a reservation for 6:45, the whole party was there at 6:45. We stood in the small waiting area for about 15 min then waited another 10 min because they were “cleaning” the table. After being seated, the chef did not come to us till about 45 min later. There was much more commotion going on with another group waiting to be seated a few tables away from us, but they were extremely loud. They weren’t cautions about talking softly in a high end restaurant. Other than that, the food was great!

The entire experience was GREAT! The atmosphere was wonderful. The food was delicious. The service was exceptional. It’s been quite some time since I’ve had so much fun. If you want delicious food at a reasonable price, checkout Benihana’s. You won’t regret it!

Enjoyable from start to finish.

My daughters celebrated their 16th and 13th birthdays and loved everything about this experience. It wasn’t their first time but it was for their friends and they had a blast. Thanks for making it special and putting up with 14 teenagers!! We will definitely be back!!

Tables are too close to each other. Makes the place very loud.

This was one of the meals we have had there. Generous amount of fried rice was a pleasant surprise. Everything was cooked to perfection by Elias and Crystal was a top notch server. Kudos to these two.

Went for my son’s 17th birthday with 8 people in my party. I watched the staff sing happy birthday to at least 4 tables. Didn’t sing to our table. With 8 people in a group gratuity is automatically added. Our hibachi show was short and lacking. The food was lacking in the amount received. One of my son’s ordered steamed rice it was never brought to the table. This is my last time going to Benihana. The service, ventilation, and quality of food has decreased tremendously. Try Ichi Ban.

Cooks are amazing, servers are friendly and helpful music always chill not to loud I would recommend here me and my husband comes every other night

Upon arrival the Hostess was very attentive and had us wait momentarily in the bar area, it took approximately 5 mins to prepare the table and we were seated right away. The waitress was very professional and kind, we didn’t like our alcoholic beverages because there wasn’t any alcohol detection whatsoever. She made it her duty to take the drinks back to the bartender to make the drinks to our liking. The Chef took forever to come out per usual and the presentation wasn’t as “animated” as they normal are. The food wasn’t too good but wasn’t all bad. All of shrimp wasnt devined and the soup was rather cold. The dining area was very Smokey, the carpet looks like it could use a good shampoo and the hibachi grills looked halfway cleaned.

Chief very patient and kind, funny. Waitress was patient and extremely helpful with menu. Front desk was helpful with adding an extra chair and time of arrival.

Great experience. Service was great and food was tasty. A little smoky in the restaurant but overall it was wonderful.

The cook wasn’t very entertaining and the food wasn’t seasoned as well as it normally is.
