Ambience on patio was exceptional. Serve was a bit slow as we are aware of the difficulty in hiring staff these days, but that is to be expected and no fault of the restaurant. Food was delicious!
Bishop’s has excellent food and service and now a fabulous outdoor patio space. Prices have gone up, but that’s understandable. Highly recommended.
Our server was great - very personable! The new outdoor area is beautiful!
Great food, beautiful setting, love that you can make reservations for the patio. Sam was our server and was fantastic. We will be back!
Best outside dining setting , food mediocre and very pricey
The newly renovated patio is beautiful! Best in St. Louis by far! Food and service was excellent! Support the restaurants they have really been on hard times!
Great service. We ate inside because it was so hot out, but the outdoor patio looked beautiful. Our meal was excellent!
very good service and dinner - steak was excellent and wedge salad can't be beat
First time there but very impressed. Food was very good. Service was good with a good pace between courses. Can’t wait to go back for the new outside area.
The entire experience was marvelous , our waitress Jasmine was great and very attentive doing our stay.
Great food and service. Had the weather been a bit cooler, we would have dined outside. The patio area is really nice.
Our servers name was Jasmine and she was terrific.
Father’s Day, new job
I was so impressed when we walked in we were celebrating my husband’s birthday and wanted to sit outside, and of course a huge storm came through so we had to sit inside. When I gave our name she said Happy Birthday to my husband. That was very impressive to me and our waitress Virginia was the best she checked on us all during our dinner. I will definitely be going back hopefully to enjoy the outside beautiful abundance.
Had out of town family here. Great meal, great service
Loved the decor of the restaurant. Our food was outstanding although a little pricey. Our server was not the friendliest.
We will return and try the patio on a cooler day.
My husband and I went last night for dinner; we hadn’t been there for at least a year. We ate outside on the garden patio, it was pretty hot outside, but with the fans going we were very comfortable. They just redid their outdoor area, and it’s beautiful! They did a great job! The food was excellent as well; I had the salmon, and my husband had fried chicken. Both were excellent! The service was very slow, but we noticed our server was quite busy, so we didn’t mind too much. We know every restaurant is having a hard time getting servers these days, so we just have to be patient for a little longer. Overall, it was a great experience, and we look forward to coming back again real soon!
Restaurant was a big disappointment on many levels.
The only thing going for it is the patio.
Beautiful setting for lunch with friends I hadn’t seen in a while. Food and service were great!
We selected Bishops Post for our Anniversary luncheon and we were very pleased with our choice. Everyone should come and checkout their new outdoor dining area. Very nice.
It is a great place for a special occasion! The food is outstanding and the service was very good!!
Had a reservation for outdoor seating, but when we arrived we were told they don't guarantee outdoor seating(my reservation clearly said Outdoor). They did manage to seat us outdoors. The patio is beautiful and was the main reason for me to take my friends there. The service was god, but when we ordered he asked if we wanted a house or caeser salad with our entrees and so we ordered salads, but only to find out later that there was a $9 charge for each one. That was super annoying and sneaky! The scallops were very good, as was the house salad. I'd say the food and drinks were over-priced, but good.
Everything about this restaurant was excellect!!! Out of the 7 people in our party, only one had a steak that was a little tough. When we shared this with the manager, he was more than willing to redo the steak. I would highly recommend Bishop's Post to my family and friends.
Love the new patio. John was attentive and professional
We had lunch on the beautiful outdoor patio at Bishop's Post. The food was excellent, and the service was good.
The outdoor patio was fabulous and the food was delicious. The service was great.
Ambiance was wonderful and our server Jason was super great and friendly! Food was excellent!
Another delicious meal at Bishop's Post. The new outdoor pavilion compliments the lushly landscaped waterfall.
Amazing new patio. Great food as always.
My husband and I went to bishops post for a date night. I ordered the duck special and my husband ordered the primavera with shrimp. We also got the spinach artichoke dip. The dip was really yummy. My husband liked his primavera and tried my duck and said it was good. I would have preferred the duck fat to be rendered a bit more but overall the dish was good. We had to ask for water instead of being asked if we wanted anymore water. Also a buss boy came by with the dish tub and said to my husband “You can throw that in here”. I felt that was very unprofessional. Overall we had a really good experience out on the new patio. We loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was very respectful and got our order perfect.
We were glad to be back at Bishop's Post now that the patio is open. The old patio was very nice, the new one is stunning! It is beautiful! Food, Service and Wine were all excellent. Will be back very soon.
It was excellent. Only complaint was it was a little warm inside
I like everything about this place except for the upward trend in pricing and the menu restrictions on the patio. The least expensive entree is $19 for the meatloaf or pasta primavera. Shrimp and Grits (my favorite) is $26, steaks or scallops are close to $40. Some of the better appetizers are only available in the bar and not outside on the patio. Our server did indicate you could order them outside but they would be at a greater price. I can’t help but feel like I’m being price gouged for dining outside. Food prices are out of line by at least 10% based on quantity and quality from comparable restaurants in the area.
The atmosphere is great here. It took a little long to get seated with a reservation. They said they were about 5 minutes behind, but after 20 I checked and after another 5 minutes we decided that out outdoor reservations could be in the all seasons room instead. They rolled up the overhead door for us and it felt like we were outside to some extent. I get it though - they were busy and people are just getting there dining out game going again whether it's us experiencing the dining or those providing the experience. The food was good and I'd say moderately priced. Dinners are going to be in the $30-$40 range with apps in the $10-$20 range. Our server was fair and attentive and I couldn't beat the company...though I brought them with me. It was a great place to spend our 9th anniversary.
Reservations on the patio. Despite there being multiple seats in the shade, server seated us directly in the sun. When we asked the server to move, she seemed very put out. Ordered appetizers, they were ok, but overpriced for what was served. Drinks were good. Server never checked our water and took waaaay too long to deliver the bill and even longer to pick it up.
If you go - I would limit it to drinks.
My husband and I went to Bishop’s Post for his birthday. The food was amazing and I will say for the most part
The only negative is being able to block the setting sun. The patio is so nice with the re-construction there just needs to be more of the umbrellas for the setting sun.
Every time we go is special. Thanks for investing in our neighborhood.
