We often make a trip to Galveston from Austin every couple of months and eat here at least once. Best restaurant in Galveston. Everything is amazing!!!
My husband and I have been going to Blvd Seafood for several years and have always thought it was very good. This past Saturday night, Jan 2, 2021, we had an excellent meal - we followed the recommendation from our waiter (Brian) for the special appetizers (Escargot and lamb chop lollipops) and the meal (blackened Blvd Sampler with catch-of-the-day Redfish) - all were excellent!! Brian was very professional, upbeat and knowledgeable. Cocktails were good and wine list cost is reasonable. We know there are a few other restuarants in town that would have charged a bit more for the meal/drinks. We highly recommend Blvd Seafood!
My wife and I have enjoyed BLVD Seafood every time we have eaten here. The menu is original, not the same old thing. The service is always excellent. The ambience is damaged by the Covid curtains between the tables but I can live with it. It's better than a lockdown any day.
Best crab cake we’ve ever had!
We love BLVD Seafood. We dine there often. My wife and I both had the New Years special with the 3 courses paired with wine. For the price we should have gotten our normal go to items. Being New Years we wanted to explore. The appetizers of the stuffed shrimp was good. The entree portion wise was just right for my wife. It left me a little lacking. Desert I thought was very good. The only reason for less then 5 stars was portion size and waiter arriving with last wine course as we were finishing our desert.
As always the food was excellent and the service was 5 star
Blvd you never disappoint. The food, Chicken Linguini and N'Awlins Platter, was amazing. My husband all but licked his plate clean. He also ordered the Salmon crostini. He thought he might take some home but alas he cleaned that plate too. Jackie was our server as our usual spot at the bar was waiting for us. We frequent Blvd enough that most know us bu sight. Courtney, the manager always greets us with a smile and welcome conversation. You won't be disappointed. 😀
The food was overpriced and not very good. The fish didn’t taste right and neither did the charbroiled oysters. I was expecting more for the prices they charged. The only positive thing I can say was that the service was good.
Food is great! Wine was delish. The COVID protocols are well done.
Great food (calamari, crab cakes, flounder fillets, gumbo), great service (Omar), great view of the Gulf of Mexico!
We tried this because of the great reviews- they were accurate! Our server Samantha was stellar! She gave us great advice and created my perfect meal. Every bite was delicious. Many thanks to Samantha!
Lunch for three: shared crab cake sliders, fish sliders (fresh redfish), and Asian-style tuna tacos. Perfect portions for three. All were very tasty! Liked the shower curtains separating the tables. Excellent service. No complaints whatsoever. Oh, the bread pudding was among best I ever had.
Outstanding experience and our waiter, Joe, was top notch!
For what we paid, I expected better. The food was good but felt like I was in a diner.
This was our second time at BLVD and things have changed a bit due to the pandemic. There seemed to be fewer staff members, including cooks, so service was slow. Usually, I would describe this place as a contemporary diner-style restaurant. The ambiance is a bit different due to the DIY dividers between tables/booths, though it made us feel safe. With that being said, the food is still delicious!! Their gumbo has a unique, less traditional flavor and is so good.
We have loved BLVD Seafood since it opened. Now that we no longer live in Galveston, it had been a while since we were there. But we did Brunch this past Sunday. I must say that precautions taken to prevent COVID-19 are very smart.
We ordered one of the brunch dishes with English muffins, smashed avocado, crabcake and sauce. We both enjoyed it very much. I had the big Bloody Mary (since I was not driving), my husband had the smaller one. Both enjoyed!!
We then finished by sharing the Key Lime Parfait--terrific.
Still a favorite place in Galveston!
The brunch menu was really good. Especially the chicken and waffles and banana bread French toast. The other dishes were good but too many of them come with Hollandaise sauce and poached and fried eggs. They will let you do it on the side and change your egg style. Very accommodating and we left full and happy.
So happy to be back after an extended pandemic hiatus. Always good food, great wine value and service! Miss the Hershey’s kisses!!
My rice pilaf with not cooked properly and the asparagus was an edible. It was like tough shoot and the last time I ordered it it was terrific expecting the same experience are we ordered it. I told the waitress about it and she didn’t do anything to service me about it. The shrimp look great!
Our favorite date night restaurant on the island!
Awesome like always!!! Chef is great & staff always courteous & friendly!!!!
We picked this restaurant based on Yelp and Open Table recommendations - and we were not disappointed. Our waitress was wonderful, attentive, made great recommendations. Food and drinks were
The food was delicious and the safety precautions they have taken are very appreciated. I have already recommended them to several people. 😎
Great dinner as always. Love the fish stack. My vegan wife can sometimes find it hard to find dishes she can enjoy but the team here made her a wonderful pasta and vegetable dish. Thank you, BLVD
BLVD. Seafood is a hidden gem off the Galveston Seawall. The service is personable and the food is fresh and cooked to perfection. On Friday evening, during a pandemic, the assistant managers along with a nudge from our previous waiter Miguel, were able to set up a table of four outside of their restaurant. The full moon, ocean and great food helped to create a wonderful dining experience. Seek out this restaurant off of the Galveston Seawall and you will be glad that you did.
We love going to BLVD. My wife and I go to BLVD often for Happy Hour. We usually prefer to sit at the bar, but it does fill up fast during HH, especiallynow with limited seating. If friends are in town, we'll often suggest BLVD for dinner. Its a small restaurant so reservations are recommended. Currently, because of the COVID pandemic, they have clear plastic hanging between the tables and booths. That takes away from the ambience, but its their effort at being safe and being able to stay open. Have tried most things on the menu and never had anything bad there. The smoked salmon crostini and shrimp kisses are my go-to appetizers, but gumbo and chowder are good as well. For dinner, I usually get one of the seafood samplers, if you don't want seafood, the blueberry pork chop or 3 pepper chicken are both good choices. Check their Facebook page as the occasionally offer special items not included on the menu.
Food was wonderful and very attractive! Great waiter! Don’t be deterred by the outside of the building! Bread pudding fabulous!
BLVD is one of my favorite places. Very Covid restricted and all waiters had on masks. Food was delicious as always.
Food is served in both great quality and quantity. The oysters are well cooked and big enough to taste all the flavors. They have great cocktails too, especially Coconut Margarita.
We looked and saw an old gas station but found one of the best restaurants on the island.
Awesome food!! My compliments to the Chef!!! We love coming here!!! Service was great!!! ❤️❤️
Had dinner here for my wife's birthday and the last time we ate at BLVD was 5 years ago for her birthday lol It was just as great as it was 5 years ago. Our waiter, Miguel, was fantastic and the food was amazing. We had our 2 boys with us and they loved the food as well. We love BLVD and will eat there every time we go to Galveston.
My husband and I visit Galveston once a year or so and Blvd. Seafood is a stop every single time. This time we started with the shrimp dejonge(a must get), followed by the best wedge salad on Earth, we both had the Blvd. sampler blackened with scalloped potatoes (some of the best), a bottle of wine and finished with the bread pudding. An amazing dinner! The waitstaff, no matter who you get, is fantastic! The ambiance is lively but not too loud. Great water views. Super clean!! 5 stars every single time!
Our waiter Gilberto was amazing, we have not had better even at 5 star DFW restaurants. The food was equally amazing, great presentation, good portions, excellent taste, and fresh. We ended up dining here three nights of our five night stay in Galveston. Highly recommend.
We were visiting Galveston for the weekend and had to get some good seafood and BLVD did not disappoint! Joe did and amazing job serving us and the food was beyond delicious. Would definitely come back
Food was good but the cocktails were not.
Always a great dining experience at Blvd Seafood!
This was our first time to eat at BLVD. It was delicious! We had appetizers, entrees and dessert - everything was perfect. Our server (Joe) was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back next time we're in Galveston.
Favority Sunday Brunch spot!!! Highly recommend!!!
This is our favorite place to eat in Galveston. Celebrated our wedding anniversary and everything was good. Our waiter, Brian, was awesome. Very friendly and engaging. Food was delicious! Always a treat!
