Boar Dough Tasting Room
Had been meaning to try this place for a while now and did the other night.
Staff and the owner were all amazing and the food delicious and super high quality
I will be back often
Our favorite neighborhood place!
A must whenever we are back in town...
Couldn’t be happier with our meals and wine! Super staff and ambiance... can’t wait to go back! HIGHLY recommended!!
One of our favorite local spots. Food is excellent, owners and waiters friendly.
Always a great ambience, delicious food and wine and excellent service.
I had family in town and we had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. Food comes out in kind of random order and my brother got all bent out of shape because his app salad had not come before his entree. but the tastes were so good. Classic Prime rib - Polenta was unique and delicious. Hangar steak really good. Kids enjoyed pizza and fried chicken. Marcus our waiter made it fun. A great night
A wine list to die for. Owners you want to be your friends. Food you always want more of. Just love this place.
Amazing!! Couldnt’ recommend it higher!!
We love us some Boar Dough! Simply put, BD is the BEST RESTAURANT (and by a fair margin!) in our entire western Conejo Valley area. Charles and Joanne (owners, and chef and hostess, respectively) are very friendly and able folks. They know what they are doing. Their menu is amazing (my god, the polenta!), along with their ample wine and beer list. Billboard sized pics of '60s rock and rollers line the walls and windows, and they play a lot of Beatles and other classic rock (several flatbreads have Beatle style names...). We've also been in when they are playing chill electronica, too. We love it there. A week later we stopped in and celebrated my 60th birthday with them. Fun time had bey my entire family. If you get the chance, go.
While the service was friendly the food left little to be desired. We had the seasonal butter nut squash pizza and crispy pork belly tacos. The crust on the pizza was very good but there was very little squash on the pizza and the pieces that were there were to firm for my taste. I should have thought twice before ordering the pork belly tacos as I should have remembered pork belly is another term for "fatty bacon". Not very appetizing as you are biting into a large piece of fat. We also had a half carafe of medium priced red wine and got out of the restaurant for about $75 after tip. Not exactly a high value for the two items of food and overpriced wine that we had.
Always friendly service and good food.
We love this neighborhood gem. Food is always spot on!!!
Small, fun, feels far away from Agoura Hills, pretty much like a small french brasserie. Excellent food, excellent wines, just an enjoyable vibe.
Love this place!!!!
Such a great space & we always love having Marcus serve us. And Charles’ special birthday cheer last night was the best!
One of our favs. There is always a special wine they have a few of so be sure to ask if you don't see anything on the extensive wine list you know or want. They take pride in their food and atmosphere as a small, quaint place with a small staff so come to relax and enjoy. That being said :) if you have to make a show or movie just tell them and they will be sure to get you out on time!
Boar Dough is my go to place for well made food with an ever changing card. Great wines.
Great choices for wine and food.
Cute, tiny neighborhood spot. I think it's a husband/wife team who are the owners.
She was great as the server. He, known for his 'sense of humor' (as she put it), managed to reveal
the ending of the movie A Star is Born when he knew we were about to walk across the driveway to see it.
Still bummed. Best dish we had: the bacon-wrapped dates.
Delicious and creative food served by wonderful owners. A neighborhood gem!
All great as usual
Great little gem. Food excellent! Great wine list’
Excellent as always. A very enjoyable evening with delicious food and great hosts.
The service was really good and the food yummy
Charming cafe, excellent service from owners, and the food was delicious! We look forward to our next visit!
The food is always consistent and excellent, the atmosphere is casual, warm and friendly, the music and the vibe are great, and the service and people are outstanding. it’s my favorite ‘go to’ place to eat!
The only people in the restaurant at 9pm. Food was bland and uninteresting. So much potential but sadly lacks any reason to return.
We are repeat customers. Specials provide a new take on their cooking. Short rib special was soft and tasty. My chicken from the regular menu was great. Crunchy coating moist meat. Service is pleasant and sometimes a bit hectic. It combines to make the charm of this wine bar.
I love this place!!!! The food is awesome. I love that the owners run it and are always visibly present.
Always enjoy sipping on a glass of wine and eating various shared plates. Service is always friendly with a warm greeting when we come in.
Concept is great, just not seeing the value in the money spent. Nothing really blew me away. High expectations, slightly disappointed.
We had an amazing dinner there and they have delicious beignets on their dessert menu (very hard to find in SoCal!) We'll definitely go back. :)
We love this local gem and go here a lot. Perfect for a quick bite before a movie (theaters are next door), and also fun for a date night or for a group.
Stand outs: the brussels sprouts (amazing!), the charcuterie plate, and the TDF polenta!! Get it - it's like no polenta you've ever had!! Their wine list is good (slightly obscure and low on California wines) but decent and they will help you pick. The great thing is you can do half glasses, full glasses or a flight so there are lots of ways to try several different wines.
The service is always good. This is a family owned place and the couple who own it are always there, as well as the same servers week after week. A good solid hope-it-never-goes-anywhere neighborhood place!
Friendly, charming, welcoming staff and delicious food. This is a real find!
The chicken and waffles got rave reviews from several at our table.
Was looking for a nice brunch place for Mother's Day. It was just OK. Not as nice as the pictures online look. Table top was very small for 4 people. Service was very spotty - I had to flag down to get refills on my coffee. They use a huge coffee cup, which is nice, but bring you a salt shaker filled with creamer (I kid you not). I had to constantly ask for more cream and one time they brought a half-filled salt shaker of creamer. Coffee was rather weak and not very hot. Eggs and sausage were served with salad greens - kinda weird combo for the breakfast I was looking forward to. No potatoes available to go with the over-medium eggs I was craving. They bring you a rather small serving of pastries and toast - one of the pastries was toasted to almost burnt. This place may be nice for wine-tasting and appetizers, but they need to rethink their brunch menu and service. One other thing. I had called the night before to see if I could move the reservation up an hour, but was told that they were fully booked. When we walked in the restaurant, there was not one other person in there. I can't imagine they didn't have a table available an hour earlier. Very strange.
Charlie is always great! As long as Charlie is helping us or Marcus you feel like you are a part of it, like Cheers! They get to know you and know what you like. Great food great wine list and Charlie is awesome!
The karaoke once a month brings me in. It’s such fun. The sangria is delicious. They also have great pizza, fries and Brussels sprouts. I like those so much I haven’t ventured further in the menu, but as I watch food go by, it all looks great. A really enjoyable spot.
Boar Dough Tasting room was absolutely wonderful! Everything from the food, to the wines, and service! We brought our family there for a special occasion and it was over the top! We will be back!
Wonderful restaurant. Great food and wine.
