Buckhead Diner - PRIORITY SEATING
Great Service, Waitress was outstanding. Made our experience delightful . Always Smiling and attentive. We had a selection of many small dishes to get a good taste of the Chef’s offering. Definitely will return.
As always, outstanding food and good service (not as attentive to refills and clearing). Definitely recommend priority seating as this places is always packed - even on a Wednesday or Thursday night.
Not sure what is meant by priority? We arrived about 10 min early, but weren’t seated until 8:15, so waited 40 minutes. There were 3 other parties there already...did they also have reservations? Those parties were seated ahead of us.
Aside from that delay, service, food and drinks were very much up to or ahead of par! It was very enjoyable.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Buckhead dining group and we look forward to eating there. This time the food was not up to par. The house chips were cold and tasteless with no seasoning and the sandwich was very dry little taste as well with little sauce to make it somewhat moist. It was disappointing as the ambience and decor are delightful.
Anniversary but they didn’t acknowledge so that was disappointing but all else very good.
I don't think it is worth the money. Deviled eggs with ham need some work. Need a bigger cocktail menu. Food was not that great at all
This was a great choice for Sunday brunch. The menu is large enough for everyone in our group of five to find a great selection. The service here was really good and the place cannot be judged from the exterior retro diner appearance. Each dish was prepared and presented as ordered.
Always a fun night at the diner consitant very good food with great service we have been dining hear for years.
We were celebrating 3 birthdays. There were fruit flies flying around our food the entire dinner. We told the manager we did not like the fact that there was so many fruit flies. Chad, the manager, said he knows they have a fruit fly/sewage problem and we had to deal with it...totally inappropriate. We did not stay for dessert and We won’t dine there again.
We shared the Buckhead Diner with two friends who'd never been there before. They were impressed with the energy, food options and the overall experience.
Enjoyable diner. Good food and service
Iconic diner. Dinner was great. We enjoyed the stark ramen, spring rolls, beet salad and the pork chop special. Dessert of coffee and donuts was only ok for me, but chocolate cake was good. Service was excellent. Efficient and non intrusive. Highly recommended.
Cortez was a fantastic server. Great recommendations and attentive service.
I had dinner with a friend here. She visits often however I had not been here in a few years. We both had the hanger steak. She ordered asparagus instead of the fries, which was an upcharge. I ordered a baked sweet potato which was half an upcharge. The steak was very good and cooked as we had requested. Our server was good too. I used a $25 coupon which was really nice. The sound was somewhat noisy however we didn't have trouble with conversation, plus we were near the door. I would return to Buckhead Diner.
Food was excellent with great variety. Service was top notch. Fun time for nephew's birthday brunch.
I had a great time and great experience as usual.
Wonderful meal and a terrific waiter. Buckhead Diner never disappoints.
I'm usually a brunch patron. The lump crab cake was smaller and didn't seem as tasty as I've had in the pass. The calamari was good. Service is always excellent and this visit was no different.
Restaurant was very good. Food was excellent as was the service. Everyone there had a great time.
Will definitely come back with my family for a personal meal.
One of Atlanta's gems. A must if you've never been. From the simplest meal to a fancy feast.. can't go wrong.
I ordered the chicken sandwich with no cheese and it arrived with cheese. The waiter nicely returned it and brought back another that was over cooked and had everything removed (bacon, mayo...). Clearly they have a hard time accommodating food allergies.
Only my 2nd visit to the Diner - but it met all expectations. The service was truly excellent - and I appreciated being able to pay the bill at the table.
Good dinner with great service
Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere.
Lunch on Memorial Day so it was fairly empty. But it is always good, reasonably priced, with great service.
I have eaten there many times and this visit was very disappointing
As always... perfect service and wonderful food. Old school class and charm in fabulous location. Brunch is always delicious.
It was my son’s graduation dinner and we invited all the grandparents there for dinner. The food was amazing and the portions were large. We had to get takeout containers to eat the leftovers the next day. Our sever was professional and polite and gave such amazing service but wasn’t disruptive. We really enjoyed our dinner there.
Fabulous. An ATL institution.
As usual everything was good. We went in a little later in the evening (9pm). And that may be why I felt the fried chicken was quite dry and felt somewhat like a precooked chicken that had been kept warm in an oven kind of thing. That’s the only reason I dropped one star.
Been there many times over the years when I have business meetings and I am traveling to Atlanta. Usually very good but it was a bit off this visit.
Nice, quiet ambiance. Great food. Service was friendly and professional.
I went to Emory and ate here weekly years ago. The food was as amazing as always but the timing of food and drinks were very off throughout the entire meal. Also the entire place smelled as if it was cleaned with a dirty rag or mop. They could invest in a good deep cleaning as what was once a gorgeous old place is starting to look a little frayed around the edges. With all that said it is still a great classic Atlanta place to eat.
After making a reservation it still took them 30 mins to seat and an hour to get our food and it was cold.
Buckhead Diner is always a reliable choice when I am in Atlanta. We were seated right away, our service was very good, and the food delicious, as always.
Very attentive server & a birthday dessert for my friend! Always fun and food is delicious.
The food and service were wonderful. My husband and I shared a mesculun salad and I had the seared scallops while he enjoyed the sea bass. All three dishes were wonderful, and my husband’s sea bass was extraordinary. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!
Great meal. Impeccable service. On a business trip and loved the place.
The food was great!!! The wait wasn't bad at all. Would recommend.
The food was good .the service was good for a Mother’s Day.it was way too crowded and noisy for good conversation. We went at 2:30. Tables entirely too close together! We will not return on a holiday! However, I am sure we will go back as it has long been a favorite of ours. Prices comparatively reasonable.
