   The Journey tribute band was awesome, and so was Trevor, our server, and the rest of the staff at Thornton. The food and wine were good but definitely over-priced.

   It really was good but our turkey club came on a plate all by itself without anything else and I kept thinking how strange that looked. After we left the restaurant we realized we didn’t get our side salad or any garnish or anything on that plate. The server was lovely and I know these things happen but at $27 for a club sandwich, it better have the sides with it. Obviously, that took the value down. Even without the side the prices are too high!

   The service was fantastic. We were promptly sat and served waters and drinks. The food was good, not great. The burgers were good. The breakfast potatoes were undercooked. The bacon in the club sandwich was undercooked, but the rest of the club sandwich was good. The french toast was undercooked, so the server took it back and cooked it for longer. The servers were great.

   While the venue is beautiful, the food and beverages are very overpriced. I've stayed at some of the finest resorts (Four Seasons Hualalai, for example) and didn't pay $30 for three small, cold pancakes. The replacement pancakes that came out were also cold, but the server didn't come back to do a follow up, nor did she acknowledge that I hadn't eaten them when she brought the bill. Clearly, I was not happy with the cold pancakes but she chose to not address it. Also, if you read the fine print on the menu, on top of the overpriced food they are adding a 3% charge on the entire bill to cover "...costs". It would have been nice to have some quiet, live music while dining and paying those prices.

   We always have a great experience at Thornton. We have been members for years and it is our go-to spot for brunch, whether just for a quick bite or as a the beginning of a day of visiting the other wineries. Travis is always awesome (server) and the rest of the team likewise. We only wish we were closer and the So Cal traffic didn’t prevent us from going so infrequently. Food is amazing. Wine is amazing. Service is amazing.

    We purchased concert tickets and made dinner reservations as recommended by the winery. The dinner options were more like lunch selections. The “entrée” selections were either turkey sandwich with fries, hamburger with fries, fish and chips, salmon or a Caesar salad or a mixed greens salad. I added grilled shrimp to my salad expecting that at $12 for 3 shrimps I’d get large shrimp but that wasn’t the case, the shrimps were very small. I was very disappointed with the “dinner” options, pricing and serving size. I also noticed that some guests ordered a cheese, cracker and fruit plate that was served at the dinner table in a to go container. This felt more like a picnic not a dinner.

    Went to see Santanaways band at Thornton Winery, they were awesome as usual. We always have a great time at Thornton during their Friday night concert series. Too bad the food sucks. The food is so bland no flavor at all which is a shame because it is not worth the money they charge for it. Please Thornton put mor care into the food you serve to make the whole experience a great time. We have been going to enjoy the Friday night bands for awhile and the food was decent but it has been really bland this year. Hope they improve it.

    The food was excellent but waiting for it was very long, we were seated with minimal shade, my husband and I were burning, asked if we can move to a table with shades but they didn’t offer the circle table next to the entrance but instead they said that the table we wanted to be move to are still close for the day. We were a party of 7, 3 minor kids and 4 adults. I hope next time we visit we are accommodate with better sitting area. It was our first time there actually and we brought family members who were just visiting California from different country.

    Food was awful, came out cold even though place was half empty, Served our vegan burger on a completely stale bun, and absolutely flavorless and my wife food was the same way. Menu prices were 75% higher than posted menu in Open table $31 for vegan burger. On the bright side decent setting and server was nice and made a minor adjustment to bill.

    Their baked brie was good, but it was the chocolate wine that was the star of the show at our table! We had to buy many bottles! Our server was attentive and the patio was lovely. Great Temecula breeze, good food, and family. Lovely afternoon.

    Their Lobster Ravioli, which I added scallops to, is heavenly. Our waiter was outstanding. The ambiance of the outside scenery and soft music was relaxing. I would have given a better score if there were linen tablecloths and nicer seating. You pay a good amount for your meal but it is delicious.

    We were shown to our table which was visibly not clean. Another party showed up after and was seated. They were served and we had not been approached yet. We still waited a few minutes for someone to come take our order. At this time around 10 minutes had gone by. Since no one had come we asked the hostess if they can clean/wipe our table and bring us waters. She was not pleased to come and clean the table which had crumbs and a bit of drink spilled from the previous customer. Our waitress then showed up and gave us great service. The food was delicious.

    A beautiful view of the vineyards at Thornton winery while having lunch on the patio. The food is outstanding and the many choices of wine by the glass or wine flights are very interesting. I enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger and the red & white wine flight.

    We are wine club members and brought another couple for their first visit on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We were seated outside at a very tiny table which should have been a two person table, we probably should have asked to move like another group did. It wasn't very busy and there were plenty of tables available. We ordered our glasses of wine and the brie appetizer with the bread service and our food orders, but asked our server to please give us time to enjoy the wine and appetizer before the food was delivered. After about a half an hour, I reached out to our server to find out where the appetizer was and she said, oh, the kitchen is working on it. We got our wine in a timely fashion and were just about through with our first glasses when the brie arrived. As usual this was a fabulous starter, even my husband enjoys it and he hates brie! The fruit and honey were so very good, too! we were just enjoying our first tastes of the starter when the mains came out and crowded the table. There was no offer to move us to a larger table, the food was just dumped on the table. My husband had asked for his burger to be medium rare and it came out medium well which was a dissappointment since we love the burgers when they're properly cooked. Our first time guests enjoyed their burger and champagne salad with grilled chicken. We really enjoyed the bread pudding dessert which did come out in a timely fashion. The staff was great about the second glasses of wine and keeping our water glasses full. The wine was great as usual, but overall, it was a dissappointing experience.

    I loved the food! I had the avocado toast with salmon for lunch, it was amazing. The view is unbeatable and the ambience on point. Our waitress was awesome, so energetic and happy. My friend was visiting from Georgia and fell in love with the place. This is by far one of my favorite restaurant/winery.

    The ambience was good all around! Plenty of open space for people to dance on Friday night music events! However, the food was way overpriced !! Cheeseburger with fries was over $28.00!! Not worth it at all! A bottle of their own brand red wine is more than $50.00!! Being a winery, it doesn't have to charge an arm and a leg to buy a bottle of wine for that much! Wine menu prices are way too high! Music was fantastic with Bill Magee's blues band! He rocked the place! It was similar to a fast food restaurant, where they serve the food within 10 minutes of ordering, but the quality was mediocre at best!! No heating lamps to keep people warm outdoors! Plenty of room to for people to park the vehicles, which was very helpful! Winery can certainly improve the food quality and make wine prices lower, which will help the winery to sell more bottles!

    We had a 6:30pm dinner reservation. Earlier I’m the day someone called to confirm and suggest we could come earlier if we wanted to. What she should have said was come earlier or don’t come at all. The entire meal and experience was rushed, in and out in less than an hour. We had a champagne flight to start but there was zero explanation which is uncommon at wineries. We had to order food right away because the kitchen was closing (they did not tell us this earlier) and if we did not order sorry you can have no food. Serve didn’t come back until mid meal to ask if we wanted more wine or dessert so we declined. The other bussers were frantically cleaning tables, covering the bars, turning chairs over while those of us there were still eating. We visit Temecula several times a year but will NEVER go back there. Also, the food was mediocre and bland at best.
