We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Cafe Lucci. It was loud but that didn’t effect our experience. Can’t wait to go back.
goog Italian food with good wine and comfortable service, being one of top 5 Italian restaurants in Northwest suburb.
Food is outstanding! Service was stellar!
Great food, many choices, real Italian food. They have free valet parking and valet Nikko is very personable, but it's difficult to get in off Milwaukee Ave. when busy. Very noisy inside when crowded. Wine list could use some more reasonable options i.e. under $50, but they do have many wines. Waiters seem knowledgeable but some are borderline snobby telling you not to get what you requested or sneer if you ask for a slight change in preparation (no added salt or pepper), one criticized our wine choice.
I would still recommend having dinner here but on days less crowded.
It was another wonderful night at our favorite place. We requested a table in the back and we also requested Darren, whose tables happened to be in front. Darren schlepped back to our table and took care of us which was certainly very difficult, but he did it with a smile. Our Cousins loved the food and want to come back again. Thank you for helping to make this a special night.
Cafe Lucci is our family’s favorite! The Arifi’s are the BEST not to mention the delicious food and professional staff!
Always excellent! Wonderful food and helpful, non-intrusive service.
Best eggplant parmigiana I’ve every had. Very pleased.
Been to lucci so many times I can’t count and NEVER have I had anything that was NOT delicious! Hands down the best Italian on the north shore
A disappointing visit. Made reservations several days in advance through OpenTable for Sat. @ 7 pm. for a party of 4. Arrived on time but wasn't seated until 7:35. Not even an apology for the delay. No quality restaurant is that off.
Then the lie. They listed "Orata" as a special. This Mediterranean fish is one of my favorites. Asked if the fish was fresh and how it was prepared. The waiter admitted that they didn't have Orata. Instead it was really Chilean sea bass. A far cry from Orata. I wonder if the veal was really veal. Again no restaurant charging $45 for a dish should mislabel it.
I selected the halibut which was mediocre at best.
My wife and I shared the gamberi luna which was very good. We also had the Caesar salad which is properly sized for one and good at the reasonable price of $5. The key lime pie was forgettable.
This restaurant has a $25 corkage fee which is acceptable especially with the prices charged over retail. I should note that the wine list is quite good with several hard to find wines available.
Simply not worth the half hour drive. Many far superior Italian restaurants available in the northern suburbs.
This is our 2nd visit to Café Lucci's. I had the Fetticine Vasca, and my husband had the
Cappelcci Toscan. Both pasta dishes. Simply delicious for both dishes. The other couple in our
party also enjoyed their dishes. One had crab legs, the other a higher end cut of Beef.
Enjoyed by all very much. Noise level was very high this past Saturday evening. Got better after a bit when patrons finished their meals, and left the establishment.
Thanks Café Lucci's! Will see you again.
Outstanding food and service but very noisy. It’s always our go to place for great Italian food, you need a reservation on weekends
Everything was great! And the wine list is to die for. Nice mood lighting, great for a relaxing dinner. It can get a bit loud depending on the night but overall a relaxed environment.
Absolutely amazing! Food was outstanding.
Nahu is the absolute best waiter. He always makes our dinner special.
Food was over seasoned, prices are high for the quality
Solid all around. Wine is deep
We have been to Cafe Lucci for lunch or dinner maybe 10 times. Every time has been wonderful. The food is delicious and service has always been wonderful. They've never disappointed us.
I highly recommend Cafe Lucci.
Great menu options and specials. Food consistently good. It just gets a little too loud when the dining room is full. Our waiter was outstanding but we felt he was rushed due to his number of tables. He was not rushing us. Very friendly staff. All in all a good experience with great food.
Service and food were great. Our server was very accommodating and substituting items was not a problem. Appreciated being able to stay and chat for a long time with my friends and did not feel rushed.
It was probably 25 years since I had been there and was glad to see the renovations and decor. I will be back!
We went to Cafe Lucci for two special birthdays and we loved it. It has been a while since we have been there for dinner. Our waiter was outstanding and knowledgeable. He recommended a perfect Pinot Noir to go with our meal. And we each had something from the blackboard specials. The salmon was amazing. The veal and chicken piccata were also excellent. It was busy with most tables filled, but quiet enough to talk and actually hear one another. We enjoyed our dinner very much and will go back.
One of our favorites. Food is ALWAYS on but tonight service was off. Chalking it up to a bad day as the service here (and with this particular waiter) are typically spot on! A must stop if you are nearby.
I have been going to Cafe Lucci for a few years. Always excellent food from the team that has led the kitchen for decades. Great cocktails and very professional wait staff as well. My one misgiving is that they get through the meal very quickly. Sometimes I remember to ask them to slow it down, but it certainly does not stop me from going and recommending it.
From the minute we were seated the service was top notch! Celebrating our anniversary and this being our favorite Italian restaurant, our waiter Eddie went above & beyond to make our experience the best ever! Dinner was outstanding from the grilled octopus to our special entrees! Eddie said whatever you want the chef can make it for you! He was right and my chicken lemon was outstanding! Of course we saved room for the amazing bread pudding with warm caramel sauce topped with vanilla ice cream (plus a candle that was lit to wish us a Happy Anniversary) it didn’t last long! Eddie you made our night even more special by reminiscing about our Italy vacations and the 2 shots of Lemonchello that we toasted to our love! We will be back😘
The food is fabulous and the service is quick and very attentive! I love this place!
My husband and I were in town on a whim and stumbled across this place after searching on yelp for dinner places. I cannot say enough about how great the food was and how helpful out waiter was. We were so undecided on what we wanted. He asked a few questions and offered suggestions. In the end, we trusted him so much that we left it up to him to pick for us and it was spot on exactly what we liked. Absolutely amazing place! We live downstate but will most definitely be back.
We were a group of 5 - each having a different entree . All were extremely pleased with their dish. Halibut special was exceptional as was Bobby's calimari! Loved the Lady's blush cocktail
Love this place - old school.
Great food !
We were satisfied with service, food and ambiance, but the noise level was borderline unbearable for us. Our table was near a service station, which increased the discomfort. We won’t be returning.
Outstanding flavors and textures of combinations of ingredients. Large portions from every course. Unique and traditional menu items. Had the chateaubriand special; best steak I ever had. Service is attentive and very friendly. A must try. Once you do you will be back. Love cafe Lucci. Fabulous!!
Great food and service.
Great meal, great selection, fine dining in the northwest suburbs! Great service!
Excellent food and service. Creative cocktails and nice wine selection.
Cafe Lucci is a great restaurant! The food and service is wonderful!
Great food, but the noise level was tremendous. We did have to speak very loudly to each other in order to hear one another at our table.
Darren was incredible as always. We love coming to Cafe Lucci because Darren treats us like royalty. My husband suggested try something new, but I prefer Cafe Lucci where I know that we’ll get a sensational meal, a comfortable lively atmosphere and where it feels like home. We will always be back, especially for Darren. Thank you!!!
Delicious food. Great service.
Always an awesome experience! Bobby and team do a great job of making you feel at home. Amazing food, great wine list, and a nice bar area for after dinner cocktails. I’m a fan!
As always, the service was perfect. Never feel rushed, the waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and the meal was excellent. I was however disappointed that my side pasta was cold and tasteless. I suggest they show equal care to side items. LOVE everything else about the restaurant from the valet upon arrival to leaving after dinner.
A first class experience with every meal cooked as requested and the service was excellent.
