Always a lovely meal. Superior service, excellent food and wine selection. Rustic atmosphere is comfortable, not chic or pretentious. I wish the bread was more like a baguette than a crostini, but probably better for the small plate concept so as to not fill up on bread. More

Beautiful appointments in location, furniture and presentation. The Brunch Choices are well above average and presented in a 5 star manor. Both the food and service are well above average. Every need is met, everyone is cordial and wants you to have the best experience possible. There is an Omelet, Waffle and carved meat station in addition to a myriad of prepared choices such as Eggs Benedict. Wonderful pastries, fresh fruit and cheese options as well. Come hungry and stay a while. You are never rushed and all non alcoholic drinks are included. More

Really amazing experience. Phenomenal food and service. Every bite was savored, and the attention to details in service made me feel like royalty! Would absolutely have come here for the food alone, but the service makes the experience unforgettable. Two Michelin stars well deserved ... how does this place not have 3 !? More

So, the food was great. And it was a a real fun experience. We coincidentally ate here on their first night of service for the semester, which made us a bit nervous. But led to probably a bit more entertaining of an evening than we anticipated. The students try real hard, but are super, super awkward. Literally everyone who engaged with us there were equally likable and uncomfortable. They were nervous and made small service errors that never bothered us. For example, one young made decided to clear our entire table after we ordered, and before we got any food. He sheepishly had to reset to the table. Again, not a big deal, and pretty sure that sort of error is was make this place a bit charming. I do wonder though, when I see teens/young people working as servers anywhere else in the world, they aren't awkward and do their job properly, so not really sure why there is such a steep learning curve, in terms of basic human interaction, with the servers here. They struggled to just be themselves and talk about the food and menu in a regular, natural way. Another example, when I ordered an Old Fashioned, which was on their cocktail menu, I was asked about seven different questions - would I like ice? what kind of liquor? what sort of twist? Clearly it was her first time asking for a cocktail order, but figured they would have been more prepared at that point. I just had to show her the menu and tell her that the bartender will know what to do. That said, the service was slow, but was expected, and totally fine. More

Simple, Rustic, yet Refined, and anything but typical. Walk into Dolce and you're welcomed by the aromas from the open kitchen. You might notice the music, its contemporary, it's rock & roll, R&B, or soul. You'll definitely notice the wines, displayed on the wall like works of art. There are no white table cloths, no dabbing the corners of your mouth, no pomp, but lots of circumstance. And perhaps the only reason you noticed the aforementioned is because you haven't tasted our food. That's when the music fades into the background.
Chef Josh Septoski is proud to be 'dismantling' the dining experience, replacing it with a sophisticated yet relaxed evening that doesnt break the bank. It's the best of both worlds, yet the food is our finest accomplishment to date. Inspired by whats great with a deep appreciation for each ingredient; grown at local sustainable farms, or produced and harvested by like-minded individuals. Dolce is rarely the same place twice. Discover Chicago

Winds whipping off Lake Michigan are no match for hungry Chicagoans in pursuit of the ultimate burger and a respite from brutal winters. Historically at the heart of the meat industry, the city’s slaughterhouses now house tony Michelin-starred restaurants, and deep-dish is just one of countless takes on Italian American staples in town. Arguably the American capital of molecular gastronomy, Chicago is at once a trendsetter and the capital of casual. Calling all carnivores.
