Very friendly staff . I noted on my booking that it was my daughters 16th birthday so when we arrived they had decorated the table with gems which was a nice touch. I phoned before hand to check that I could bring a cake which was fine the staff brought it through after dinner with the sparklers I had brought and sang happy birthday, again a nice touch. I only didn’t give the Alverton five stars on value on this visit because I thought they could do with having a set two or three course menu additionally to the other menu on a Saturday night, as it worked out quite expensive when paying for six people. The food we did have was absolutely beautiful and well worth the money. An absolutely lovely time spent at the Alverton once again MoreOpenTable Diner -
Some of our party dined at a nearby more highly rated (by some) restaurant the night before and agreed that Bayards Cove Inn was much better. We found the service to be absolutely excellent and extremely friendly, the food was lovely, the noise levels (refreshingly) were low despite the Navy being there in force, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My only regret was that I left my son to pay (using my card, whilst I went to fetch the car) and now find that he was rather miserly with the tip. We will make it up another time! Thank you Mr. Bayard for an excellent meal! MoreOpenTable Diner -
