Best American Restaurants in Governors Island

We sat at the bar and Louis took great care of us! We had a wonderful time and he gave us exceptional service!

Everything was and always is perfect. The restaurant is run like a well oiled machine so the service is outstanding with happy servers. Will was perfect last night. The food is always excellent which is why the restaurant is booked every night. The noise level is festive and still so comfortable to have a conversation. Finally, it’s very NY. The patrons are from the neighborhood, this is not a tourist spot.

It was my husband’s first time at Delmonico’s. He loved it! Food was outstanding as always.

It was incredible! First, the views are incredible. It’s why I booked it in the first place but pics don’t do it justice. I was in NYC for my mom’s 62nd birthday and it was her first time in NYC, no one made it special except Manhatta. 4 different people told her Happy Birthday + her name before we even got to the table. They also had a handwritten card for her. Staff was knowledgable & personable. They very clearly love their jobs & the restaurant does not do service, they do better! They show true hospitality.

Great service. Host and server (Melanie) were great. Very helpful and accommodating. We’d go back here again.
