Best Australian Restaurants in Yackandandah

Thank you so much for a unique and delicious dinner. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in this beautiful environment with amazing food and service. We will remember this night with delight.

The food was delectable, well-presented and very tasty and delicious. We sat outside on the balcony, and the ambience was simply breathtaking. The view is wonderful overlooking the Murray River. The trees are gorgeous and it was a delight to be there. The staff were very nice and the service was terrific. We certainly will return as this cafe is amazing and well worth the drive from Wagga Wagga. We had spectacular fruit smoothies that were sublime and ate the lovely, presented Scallops for entrees followed by an awesome Slow Roasted Confit Duck and finished off with a jaw-dropping Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Biscoff Basque Baked Cheesecake. After that we literally waddled home. We highly recommend The River Deck Cafe and can't wait to return.

Deserving of every superlative you could give this place. I’ve been to a lot of pubs in my 49 years on this planet… and this is the best one. Beautiful fitout, excellent local wines, 10/10 service and the meals, my goodness: both generous and the best pub interpretation of that dish you’ll probably ever have. The Yack team has nailed everything. It’s 2.5hrs from where I live but I know I’ll be back before winter’s done.

Service is excellent, restaurant system needs improving and quality of food is average. With a bit of tweaking could be a top eating place certainly a top bar.
