Best Beer Gardens in Herzogenaurach

Great Bavarian food & beer. Friendly local welcoming staff & customers. Would recommend the Schäuferla with Stöffla & the beer ice cream. An ideal out of Bamberg experience.

I visited this restaurant on recommendation from my hotel, it did not disappoint. The menu selection was very good and our food was excellent. The staff were polite, efficient but didn’t have much time for chat. Prices were a bit above average but the quality of the food reflected this. In summary, great food, staff and atmosphere, well worth a visit.

Great place for a weekend getaway. The modern side has a private terrace if you want to enjoy a bottle of wine in peace. Service was super awesome (people spoke English during the day and if they did not, they made a super effort to find someone who understood). The only reason I have this wonderful place 3 stars for service, was due to this one horrible old man who was taking care of the night desk. We called the front desk to warn the staff about broken glass in the terrace that was blown over during strong winds in the evening of 24 Aug 2024. The man who answered seemed disturbed by the call and was very mean and rude, in German. “Come to the front desk!” He said. We said, never mind and sorry to disturb you. Otherwise, this is a quiet and cozy place. Walk the vineyards in the early morning or late afternoon.
