    I had booked a table for 3 for 1.30 on a Bank Holiday, a birthday celebration and meet up with old friends. We arrived very early but we were welcomed immediately and seated and there was a birthday card on the table, - nice touch! The food was excellent, served in good time and the wine especially good. Good size portions, so we only managed the ice cream for desert but lots of choice of flavours and large scoops! We stayed a long time but never felt rushed or hurried to leave. I wish I lived locally because I’d certainly like to visit again.

    I really like the guys working behind the bar, very friendly but also knowledgeable. I don't live in Oxford but I'll be sure to visit here when I'm back. We had a very nice lunch and a nice old school pub, which I hope people come out and support.
