Yauatcha City opened in May 2015 in Broadgate Circle, just outside Liverpool Street Station. This is Yauatcha’s second UK location following the success of its award winning restaurant in Soho. Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list. Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

Imperial China stands in the heart of China Town and has been there for over 30 years, one of the longest standing restaurants of the area and one of the largest. It spans over 3 floors hidden a quiet, secret nook in the middle of the hustle and bustle. As you enter, you cross a traditional wooden Chinese bridge which overlooks a Koi fish pond in the peaceful courtyard. The interior is elegantly decorated to represent elements of the Chinese Emperor's grand Imperial Palace.Our new, yet highly experienced Head Chef Poon, has meticulously designed his menu which consists of traditional Cantonese dim sum, popular South-East Asian dishes as well as rare & traditional Chinese delicacies, all freshly prepared daily and served straight from our kitchen.

    The staff were very welcoming the minute we entered and the decor is lovely, very cosy and the background music was very good. There were so many items on the menu we had real difficulty choosing what to order. Everything was ordered was very authentic and tasty. We were really full from our starter and mains but the dessert Ais Kacang was too tempting so we ordered that too and it reminded me of being back home. One of the best Malaysian restaurants in London. The service was very attentive but non-intrusive at the same time. We had a great time and we will return so we can try more items on the menu!

    We met family for lunch and had an excellent meal in pleasant surroundings. We didn’t feel hurried (as you often do in Chinatown). Every dish was excellent. It is slightly more expensive than some of the other restaurants but worth every penny
