Yauatcha City opened in May 2015 in Broadgate Circle, just outside Liverpool Street Station. This is Yauatcha’s second UK location following the success of its award winning restaurant in Soho. Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list. Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

Hutong at The Shard’s cuisine takes its inspiration from the dishes served in the imperial palaces of what was then Peking.     Superb food, plenty of gluten free choices, Nicky who looked after us was so friendly and professional had a great night. The sharing duck was served with plum sauce and lettuce for me, with a side portion of ‘normal’ wraps and Hoi Sin for my wife. Would also recommend the Dr Hermann Riesling… sublime!

    The staff were very welcoming the minute we entered and the decor is lovely, very cosy and the background music was very good. There were so many items on the menu we had real difficulty choosing what to order. Everything was ordered was very authentic and tasty. We were really full from our starter and mains but the dessert Ais Kacang was too tempting so we ordered that too and it reminded me of being back home. One of the best Malaysian restaurants in London. The service was very attentive but non-intrusive at the same time. We had a great time and we will return so we can try more items on the menu!
