Booked 1 time today
The Whippet Inn Steak and Alehouse is a sympathetically restored Victorian pub with quirky modern twist, giving it an understated decadence. This welcome addition to the York restaurant scene provides an adult only environment, hidden away on York’s North Street and celebrates the best in British food and drink. The Whippet Inn’s main aim is to get the best food produce they can find in Yorkshire and then pair it with real ales, lagers, spirits and wines from around Great Britain. A fine example of this is their air dried on the bone 40 day aged Yorkshire beef from Ripon. We are an adult dining restaurant only, as much as we love children and are raising a bunch of our own, we have decided to make this a little haven of tranquillity- a getaway for all.

Imperial Hotel Blackpool's Afternoon Tea is an exquisite experience, perfectly blending tradition with exceptional service. Guests rave about the “absolutely fabulous” Afternoon Tea, praising the delicious selection of dainty pastries, finger sandwiches, and the delightful addition of mini banoffee tartlets. The grandeur of the Victorian dining room enhances the experience, offering stunning views of the Fylde coast. Standout service by knowledgeable staff, like Chris, who is described as “an asset to the hotel,” ensures that every visit is memorable and special. We had a 4 tier afternoon tea starting with soup and pigs in blankets, sandwiches, 2 types of scones and finally a selection of cakes. The teapot was refilled as and when. The food was delicious. Our waiter was lovely polite, friendly and funny. We felt very welcome, it was reasonably priced in comparison to other places in Blackpool however this had the wonderful ambience of a fine hotel

Excellent Sunday Dinner at The Queens Head. Plenty of food, extra roasties / yorkshires and great service. This was our 2nd visit, as the 1st was so good and we weren’t disappointed.

This visit was dinner for two people and the first time we'd been there. It was recommended to us by a friend. We were expected, greeted and seated promptly. Our order was taken in a friendly and efficient manner. Drinks came quickly as did our nibbles. The steaks were superb: cooked exactly as requested, the meat being of fine quality. The GF onion rings were crisp and tasty. the chips and French fries spot on. We shared one desert (sticky toffee pudding also GF) which was a delight and not too heavy. I asked for a type of coffee not on the menu and it was readily made correctly and delivered without a fuss. All in all it was an excellent experience. The staff are very professional and nice. We will surely go back again.
