There are few restaurants that offer such a rounded and joyful experience as Opheem. From the warm welcome on arrival, the relaxing amuse bouche and creative cocktails to the superbly attentive yet discreet staff and of course the stunning 10-course tasting menu, the enjoyment is unbounded. Aktar Islam’s creativity is genius and built on vast experience of his beloved Indian culture fused with a modern take on classics and using only the best ingredients. An absolute gem and a joy.

Isaac’s on Saturday was an absolute vibe. We went for a hen do and the atmosphere was just lovely — cosy enough that you don’t feel overwhelmed, but still buzzing. The food was spot‑on with loads of options (literally nothing to complain about), and the mix of ages made it feel really welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can sit down with a few drinks, have a chat, then suddenly decide it’s time to get up and dance. The singers were brilliant and the music choices kept everyone happy. All in all, a perfect night out.

This is an outstanding restaurant of superb quality. Great for special occasions. Tom Shepherd and his team serve a tasting menu which consists of high quality ingredients that they seem to have extracted the maximum flavour from. Usually with a tasting menu there are one or two courses that you like a little less - but not here. All courses are, quite simply, excellent. Who knew we would be such big fans of beetroot gazpacho? You really need to taste it for yourself to appreciate how wonderful it is ...and the scallop..and the fish...and everything else really. My partner (designated driver) had the matched non alcoholic pairings and loved them -The mixologist has clearly done an excellent job Also, staff were very helpful and responded to my queries quickly when I was trying to secure a booking in the first place. Excellent customer service all round. If we were local we would definitely come here more often.

Excellent food, I had the rump steak that was cooked to perfection and the triple cooked chips were outstanding. My husband has the fish and chips and it was delicious. We will be back
