Our story is like many others. Nine years ago, we came to America with two bags of luggage and two big dreams. The first and biggest dream was to start a family. And we did. We now have three beautiful children, a four year old girl, a six year old boy and a new baby. Without doubt, we are blessed.Our second dream was to introduce Connecticut to our Romanian culture and cuisine. Hence, we came up with the idea of Cafe Transilvania. We owned Cafe Transilvania for many years which was a success, which is why we decided to open Transilvania Restaurant and bar.

    We were pleasantly surprised as first time diners at Zaza's. We especially liked the service as our waitress was very kind and polite and also the other staff were very attentive. In addition, the food was served hot and quite tasty and the prices were affordable for upscale dining. The bathrooms were super clean and that says a lot about a restaurant for sure! We will be back!

    Had not been to Giuilio’s for a while since was travelling and working out of country. Enjoyed being back, and forgot how great the food is. Plan to return more often. The dishes have the best sauces. The escargot and shrimp appetizer never disappoints.

    We love Transilvania. It’s a great experience overall. The food is amazing and the menu is different. The atmosphere is fun. You get a taste of culture which is different than anywhere else around. The staff is awesome. This is our go-to restaurant. Try the black cherry margarita & the crepes!
