Best Contemporary French American Restaurants in Forest Hill / West Portal

Superb is the right word. The food is the trifecta: artfully presented, imaginative, and unique. The first hour of being there was very quiet (we had an early res). We were seated by Embarcadero window as sun was going down. We had the same excellent waiter (Dennis) whom we've had before. Just a total pleasure and we'll definitely go back (having recommended Boulevard frequently since our last visit). Keep up the great work!

Amazing dining experience! The food and cocktails were so delicious. Lobster risotto, duck, and scallops are all a must try. Louisiana butter cake was delicious as well.

The staff are individuals and a group wonderful companions to the food, at each stage of the dining experience. Still love Wolfsbane.

What an incredible night celebrating Carlos’ birthday at Bar Crenn! From the moment we walked in, everything was absolutely amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening feel special, and their hospitality, attentiveness, and attention to detail truly made the experience unforgettable. The atmosphere was everything! The music set the perfect vibe, the drinks were exceptional, and every appetizer we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. Everything came together so effortlessly, creating the perfect balance of elegance, fun, and an intimate celebration. What really stood out was the staff. Chou Chou Bistro never disappoints, we have been dining there for years and always savor the selection of appetizers, entrees, and yummy desserts. It is a wonderful gem in the Forest Hill/West Portal area. The staff is superb, welcoming, attentive, and kind.
