Best Contemporary French Restaurants in Mission District

Got a wonderful dinner with my parents. The service and quality of the food were astonishing. They happily accommodated my mother’s dietary restrictions (she has seafood allergies) by swapping out some dishes with vegetarian ones, and she was very impressed by them. The portions are generous but not too overwhelming. Overall very much worth the price.

It's a great local restaurant - ambiance can use a bit of an uplift (i.e. wooden tables not very attractive or fitting for a French restaurant; could use mirrors, better lighting, French arts or posters; paper or tablecloths on tables, flowers on table and/or restaurant; small lamps or candles on tables...things can be done with one time cost so not to endure continuous costs in a restaurant.

I have been coming here for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Last night I went totally off script as in my wife and we ordered things normally not on our set list. We were both incredibly surprised and happy. I had the Branzino she had the salmon. We also had the mussels and fries which were out of this world. Pear martinis were wonderful. Dessert was also impeccable. it was also wonderful to see Philippe. I’m also planning on returning soon.
