Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in New Brunswick

Went for Mother’s Day the place was packed but still spacious enough where we didn’t feel cramped. We were sat right away even with how busy it was so our reservation went perfectly in that regard. We ordered the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer the shrimp were huge but I will say while good they were slightly tough but overall we enjoyed it. For entrees we got the scallop and king crab with risotto entree and the skirt steak. Both entrees were phenomenal the Scallops were cooked to perfection as was the crab some of the best I’ve tasted in awhile. And the skirt steak was cooked at a perfect medium, slightly medium rare in the very middle which was perfect for my taste. We did order a side of Creamed spinach but accidentally got Crispy potatoes but the mix up was dealt with swiftly they took responsibility. They gave us the correct side and even took the creamed spinach off the bill which was not necessary but greatly appreciated. Which leads to the final part of the review which is the service. Our server was Nicole she was very attentive even with how busy it was, extremely nice and inviting and knew the menu very well. You could tell she takes pride in what she does and had a great attitude which for me always enhances the experience when dining out. I will 100% be coming back to this restaurant again great food and a great staff the prices are higher end but you are getting high end quality in return and will not walk out disappointed! Keep up the great work and shout out to the Chef in the kitchen you can tell they take pride in their food and have great quality control!

We were looking for a quiet casual place for Mother's Day, and Focacceria was perfect. The food was good, some of it was great, and we were quite satisfied. We started with the risotto which was perfectly creamy, and then I had the meatballs and bucatini. My husband had the Filet Mignon. Overall the food was very good, and well prepared, but a little pricey for such a casual place.

Good spot to chill and feel history. This building is from 1850 which is before the civil war. Crazy history here.
