Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Saint-Léonard

We had a wonderful evening at Le Petit Italien in Montréal! We visited on a very busy Friday night, and the atmosphere was buzzing, both indoors and on the terrace. Even though we had an 8:00 PM reservation, we arrived 40 minutes early after our show finished ahead of schedule, and the staff was kind enough to accommodate us right away on their beautiful terrace on Bernard Street. Despite being one team member short, the service was exceptionally professional and attentive. The team was hustling but maintained a great attitude, and they were extremely apologetic about the wait times between courses, which was clearly not their fault! We started with the focaccia, which was delicious, and the Hugo Spritz, was amazing and perfectly balanced. For our main courses, it was a bit of a mixed experience: -My friend ordered the Lobster and Shrimp pasta, which was absolutely delicious with freshly made pasta! (9/10) -I ordered the rigatoni with rapini and sausages, which unfortunately missed the mark. The pasta was way undercooked and lukewarm, and the sauce had a surprisingly sugary taste, though the sausage chunks were good. (3/10) We finished the meal with the tiramisu, which was solid and enjoyable. (8/10) Overall, despite one dish not working out, the service and the lovely atmosphere made for a great experience. We would definitely return for a second visit!

Staff and service was fantastic as always. Food was great but would have been perfect with the cauliflower!

Ambiance in the restaurant was cosy, spacious and no fuss. We planned to eat at the restaurant but one of us wasn't feeling too well so we decided to take it to go and the waitress was super understanding. Even eating it as takeout everything was fresh and super tasty. Love this place for it's amazing food, humble, no frills atmosphere and attentive friendly staff. Can't wait to go back.

Great food and service. Home made gluten free pasta was the best gf pasta I’ve ever had in 15 years. They also had gluten free crostini to use with the appetizers. The regular dishes weee amazing too according to my son.

Brought my family for brunch on sunday. The ambience is classy, very spacious, food set up is just spectacular. The attention to detail on the food display was too. The selection is enormous, and the quality and taste was absolutely delicious. Yes it is little pricey, however, for the quality, selection, the service it is worth it. I would definetly go back. I was so happy to finally find a place that food is exquisite and not feel sick after a meal.
