The 45-min drive to Daly City was worth it. We had the special Prix Fixe menu as part of the 'Flavors of the Peninsula Restaurant Week' event. We did not expect such refined dishes, featuring fresh and delicate Korean ingredients prepared in a modern way. Every dish was cooked perfectly with layers of taste and textures - sulpang with sweet matcha spread, prawn with greens and house sauce, pork belly or chilean sea bass with sticky rice in lotus leaf, and black sesame cheesecake. The surprise slice of cake for my upcoming birthday was thoughtful. Service was friendly, informative and not in-your-face. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Wednesday but expect crazy crowds during the weekends. We will be back to taste the 'Chef's Recommendation' menu as well as the typical Korean dishes. We'll have to introduce Pogu to our Korean friends - we think they will approve. Compliments to Chef Tony and his staff!
