A block from The Bean and the Crown Fountains, Momento brings the energy of Mexico City to Chicago.Founded by two friends from Mexico City, Momento was born from a shared frustration with how Mexican cuisine and Mexican identity are often portrayed abroad: reduced to stereotypes and gimmicks. In the heart of Chicago, they set out to build something different. A home for those far from home and a stage where Mexico could be seen as it truly is: bold, creative, rooted and proudly modern.The space brings together two experiences under one roof: a fast-casual Taquería and a full-service Cantina. Guests can stop in for a quick lunch of Ribeye Tacos, or settle into the Cantina for agave based cocktails, Octopus Tacos and a Signature Abuelita Chocolate Cake that pays tribute to familiar flavors with an elevated touch.
