Best Modern Southern American Restaurants in Victoria, San Antonio

In 2001 we celebrated our wedding night dinner at Las Canarias. For our 25th Anniversary I decided to surprise my wife with a dinner out where it all started. Unfortunately Las Canarias closed during Covid, but in its place sprung a fantastic successor. Josh and the entire staff at Four Brothers went above and beyond to ensure our dinner was a night to remember. From the exquisite complementary champagne cocktails to the silver themed desert plate, to the anniversary card signed by the entire staff… everyone was very attentive and focused on ensuring we had an exquisite evening. The chicken fried venison was divine while the Snapper was a bit dry and underwhelming. Sprouts were tasty although the bbq sauce was a little heavy. Cocktails (Dirty Martinis and Smoked Pecan Old Fashioned’s) were fantastic. Thank you Josh, Jazzy, and the rest of the team! You truly made our night special.

The women chefs in the kitchen are serving up some amazing Southern cuisine! We always have a wonderful meal at Ida Claire, and the service from hostess check in to table-side servers are truly one of a kind, fun, super-friendly and very accommodating.

The place is definitely a combination Restaurant (with a limited menu), bar and hookah lounge. It is an Urban environment suitable for 20 and 30 year old. I ordered a Mojito to drink with the Fried Catfish and fries for dinner. My wife ordered a Cranberry and Vodka with the cheese burger sliders for dinner. The food was delicious and our server was great.
