- VVictoriaChicago / Illinois •14 reviews4.0Dined on Apr 22, 2025Came on a Tuesday evening for a quick bite in the area with my beau. Waterview on the 15th floor of Voco hotel (IHG) has a chill bar vibe, is somewhat trendy, and good for a date night. It's neither too much or too little - pretty solid hotel bar / kitchen with a nice view. Just missed the Happy Hour (4:00 - 6:00pm weekdays), but cocktails were great and the food was good. We ordered the Voco Burger, Tuna Poke (huge portion!), and Crispy Brussels (loved the boursin cheese with it, wish this dish was larger) for appetizer. All great choices! It wasn't very busy, but service was very friendly and helpful when they did come by - very welcoming. It's a bit pricey, but overall was a quiet chill week night out with the beau, and a solid choice for a dinner in the area.More infoWaterview$$$$• American• West Loop•4.1

- DdkmomChicago / Illinois •53 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 3, 2020Nice location with good noise design (did come on a quiet evening but the noise level was very pleasant) and open spaces - the large windows into the kitchen allows guests to watch the Chefs work. We started out with the Golden Rice which was very nice with quail eggs and truffles. The salt did overpower the truffles a little but it was perfectly cooked. Next was an outstanding dish that I would say is an absolute must. The Short Rib Bulgoki with kimchi. It was served beautifully in a Korean clay pot but looked nothing like Bulgoki. When mixing the dish a heaven of crispy caramalized tender pieces of beef was hiding, combined with a sour salty flavors of the kimchi it was a dream. Very korean flavors and yet not. Perfectly cooked and each bite complimented each other. The best Bulgoki ever and I could come back just for this dish every week. Lastly, the whole roasted Vietnamese duck served with a broth, lettuce, rice wraps, homemade hoisin sauce, strawberry siracha and nuoc cham. The larger pieces of the duck breast was a little too raw for us but the other pieces were cooked perfectly - juicy and tender. They dry age the ducks on site, which explains why the ducks were so perfectly tender. Never thought of serving my duck with lettuce, nuoc cham and hoisin sauce but will definitely do that in the future. It made it so much more fresh to eat than a traditional roasted duck. The hoising was delicious and if they were to sell it I would buy the homemade hoisin from here as it is better than what one can get in the store. The siracha was a little too sweet for my liking but it did taste very much of strawberry as it should. For deserts we had 4 - and they were all beautifully presented. Our absolute favorite was the persimmon sorbet, which is more like a cleanser but this dish is so fantastically executed that it is a must to try. The souffle is also worth it and the green apple and the baked Alaskan beautifully plated but a little too sweet for my savory tooth.More infoEntente$$$$• Contemporary American• River North (Chicago)•4.8
