- MMichaelGoldSan Francisco Bay Area •54 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoTerrific Eastern European restaurant that I found out about on Check Please Bay Area (KQED). Very nice decor. Even the bathrooms were impressively clean and elegant. Food was terrific. Beet salad and Eggplant roll appetizers were very flavorful. Presentation of food was outstanding. Chicken schnitzel with whipped potatoes and mushrooms looked plain but was so delicious. Lamb chops ($44) were very large and done to perfection (we asked for medium rather than medium rare). Pink trout with a large grain and green vegetables was also very flavorful, although not that much fish. Potatoes and mushroom was good, but least interesting. Neighboring table go the ghoulash which looked good as well. Honey cake for dessert was a favorite. Nice bar with good drinks. We paid $58 apiece for four with 2 appetizers, 4 entrees and 1 dessert, which was a bit pricer than I'd have liked, but will likely go back. I also want to try the Uzbek restaurant across the street, Sofiya, which also looks good.More infoDACHA Kitchen & Bar$$$$• Eastern European• Tenderloin•4.7
- DDianeCalifornia Central Coast •5 reviews5.0Dined on Mar 28, 2026Red Tavern was such a great experience as the ambiance was clever. From the pantings displayed throughout to the adorable rain clouds on the ceiling - everything was so perfect. I especially loved the delicate plates with the blue and white designs. I tried the Russia lager - also perfect. The potato chicken salad was so flavorful and subtle. The smoked fish was perfectly smoked. Honestly can’t say enough positive remarks about this spot. I was impressed! The waiter was also super cool with just the right personality.More infoRed Tavern$$$$• Russian• Richmond District•4.7

We tried beef gouda hand pies and beef dumplings. Great seasoning. Honey lager beer was tasty too!More infoLELEKA$$$$• Ukrainian• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.7
