We had a wonderful time at Corenucopia. This was our third meal under Clare, first at GR Chelsea, then Core, and now here. The service from Manager Lynn and esp from the waiter with curly hair was exemplary, very thoughtful and friendly, we had lots of laughs, Lynn even remembered me from Core which I went to in 2019! But the star of the show was the food, the starters were stunning, the Lobster bisque was deliciously creamy and moreish but the Seafood vol au vent was even better, the pastry lovely and buttery and the champagne sauce was divine, its probably as good a starter as the legendary cheese souffle from Le Gavroche, in both cases I was licking the plate clean, whether Clare or Michel walked in and saw me or not! For mains we had the Fish N Chips which were the best I have ever had, theme developing here, the batter so crispy and yet so light and flavorful, while the lobster mousse was lovely, making this the most tasty battered fish dish you can have, no need at all for tartare, vinegar, ketchup etc, while the Chicken Kiev was also the best I have ever had, altho Clare did cheat a bit by putting in both garlic butter and ham and cheese, ha, so it was full of flavour once again.
