Best European Restaurants in Katoomba

We hadn't been to this place for years, since a pretty mediocre experience when it was called Rosewood Cottage. One Orient had good reviews so we thought we'd try it again. The new management has done a fantastic job of refurbishing it, there was a welcome roaring fire and the menu contains something for everyone. All dishes we chose (scallop starters, steak and chips, and gnocchi) we very tasty and nicely cooked. We would definitely go back.

An amazing dining experience as part of my wife and my weekly ‘date nights’. We went for a walk along the waterfront before dinner. We had arrived earlier than scheduled so I called to change the time, which they accommodated. The service was exceptional and we were made to feel welcomed and valued. We had the hot seafood platters, warm bread and garlic butter, and ended with a rich crème caramel all of which looked fantastic and tasted delicious. Thank you to the wait staff and chef for a wonderful dinner.

We requested outside seating and was pleased to find the table and seating clean and tidy. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent. We started with the fried cauliflower entree and was pleased to note it wasn’t excessively oily. For mains we had the seafood paella which was really beautifully cooked. My only complaint would be the lack of the ‘crust’ at the base of the pan. Generally speaking, loved the service and the food. Will definitely be heading there again
