I’ve already recommended The Oak Bistro to several people. Excellent food, very accommodating when we showed up on a busy Thursday lunchtime 45 minutes early for our reservation, having caught an earlier train. Food was exceptional. And, with the option of a Prix fixe menu, there was a decent range of prices.

It’s the second time we have tried the tasting menu and again we wasn’t disappointed. The food is designed ,prepared and delivered perfectly. The wine flight is thoughtfully put together and compliments the food brilliantly. Well done all involved.

Thought I was eating in a small restaurant in France. Food was absolutely delicious. Took my wife, relaxed, French cool, not pretentious. So much better than going to a chain restaurant, dinner leaves you with a memory. And unless you are a top home cook, you're never going to recreate the flavours. Perfect date night dinner choice, and if I had a mate visiting Stortford, I would definitely take him there. Breakfast menu looks great, will be going back. Thanks!

We are a vegan and vegetarian and there are always options available. The mushroom risotto was a good portion and very tasty. We enjoyed the wine too and the service is friendly and attentive.
