Best Gastro Pubs in Morningside-Lenox Park

This was our first visit to Up on the Roof. We enjoyed the view and the weather was perfect. Food and service were great. We had the trout with squash puree, fried cod and shrimp and grits. The names on the dinner menu for each meal are quite amusing. The alcohol drinks and wine were very expensive. My one size up GLASS of Chardonnay was $34. The bill can sneak way up on you if you are not careful. The party I was with assumed they were paying for the view. Overall would recommend it - nice atmosphere.

Everyone at our table enjoyed their lunch at H&F yesterday with a ride array of dishes ordered. The crab claw appetizer to start was nice followed by one fried chicken sandwich, the signature burger and the shrimp salad with buttermilk dressing. We'd highly recommend H&F at Colony Square.

The service was second to none. We switched guest totals and seating preferences many times and the servers were wonderful. Everyone loved the food and tranquil vibe.

Sitting at the bar was a fantastic experience from start to finish---amazing cocktails, great service, and food was scrumptious.

My family of (4) wanted to take Dad out for Father’s Day and needed a location not too far from home, free parking, & open later than most restaurants. My daughter had to work so we were expecting to eat around 7:30-8pm. McCray’s was the perfect choice! We set reservations for 8:30 but arrived much earlier and was seated immediately. The location was a discovery for us. I have passed this area many times but had no idea the area had so much to offer, looking forward to returning soon. We ordered an appetizer, our selection was the Nachos w/o meat…soooo good!!! All (4) of us really enjoyed our meal. The service was great and the vibe was perfect for us to enjoy talking and laughing together as a family which is a rare opportunity for us b/c we’re working hard to provide these days. The entire family enjoyed our leftovers the next day and continued to talk about what a time we had.
