This July, Shuli Wimer joins Farmer J to open ‘The Fancy Fork’ on King William Street. Bringing together her five years of experience at world-renowned The River Café and the flavours of her Israeli upbringing, Shuli has created a menu championing the best of the season’s produce and inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours. The Fancy Fork’s menu is made for sharing; smaller dishes will be Padron Peppers with a za’atar and oregano crumb and Tahini Tuna Tartare with sliced green runner beans. Larger plates will include Zucchini Flowers stuffed with ricotta, basil and olive paste, and a Cherry Salad with herbs, feta, pine-nuts and sumac. For those looking for more substantial dishes, choices include a Freekeh Risotto topped with grilled bone marrow, aubergine and parsley and Grilled Whole Fish with smashed roasted potatoes, sage and rosemary. Those with a sweet tooth can finish with Shuli’s signature desserts.
