The Cross Inn, is a quintessentially British – and – Gloucestershire – family run country pub set at the gateway to the Forest of Dean. It is a place to meet, whether for a drink or to eat, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. But it is no coincidence that since Chris arrival his expertise and flair combined with Damon our second chef, they have transformed the food side of the business, Chris & Damon imaginations work overtime to deliver nothing short of the very best. Specials are changed frequently and the Sunday lunch is so popular that every seat is booked at the weekend.

    Excellent food and lovely setting. The views are amazing, especially on a sunny day like we had. Was surprised by how child friendly, they put plastic cutlery out ready with the high chair. Great and thoughtful touch.

    So much to choose from the menu so it was difficult to decide what to eat. Loved the kids menu as it had better quality of food rather than the usual fast food style items you get at other restaurants. Wish there was one in London.

    Lovely little country pub in the heart of Alyburton. Very busy with both at the bar and restaurant, good atmosphere. Service initially was pretty good, however we waited for over an hour before our mains arrived, condiments a little scarce even when requested. Staff very pleasant but I think it may have been a bit busy for them to cope efficiently, especially as they had a live band playing too.
