    It was a date night. I have been eating at this restaurant for a long time but my girlfriend had never eaten there. We had a wonderful experience at Barranco in Lafayette. The food was outstanding, especially the salmon entrée and the short ribs, which were both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The margaritas were excellent as well. Every dish is fresh and beautifully served. The atmosphere is always buzzing and the service is excellent. The staff are very welcoming, and we will definitely be coming back.

    I actually looked forward to giving Lucuma 5 stars in every category. While we were eating, my husband said "Does food get better than this?" We had crispy shrimp, cauliflower, and ceviche. All delicious. Whatever they use in the ceviche is like magic. The service was efficient and friendly. Everything came quickly and was hot and fresh. We return regularly, and the host seemed to recognize us as returning customers, or he's just a warm host. We will be back soon. Just one of the best in Oakland!
