Peter Lugar's is my "gold standard" and no place ever meets that for me. (Sorry Capital Grill & Roots fans - they just don't do it right- the meat is just not the same quality.) We do like Ruth Chris because they have a great filet mignon served on the hot plate. (The only correct way to serve steak.) Everything about Chatham was perfect! We started with a delicious huge shrimp cocktail and clams oreganata. The porterhouse had outstanding flavor, cooked to perfection. I'm still dreaming about it. The sauteed spinach wasn't too salty or overly oily, just right. The mac & cheese was to die for. Apple strudel with fresh whipped cream wrapped up the night perfectly. The server was so pleasant and the owner stopped multiple times to make sure everything was good. From the intimate atmosphere to the amazing hospitality, everything was just perfect. A special shoutout to Donson for the incredible recommendations and outstanding service!The Jollof rice paired with the lamb chops was definitely the star of the night packed with flavor and absolutely delicious! And if you haven't tried the Sweet Nothing cocktail you're missing out! It's a must-try! Legacy 27 truly knows how to create a memorable dining experience.
