Okayyyyyy straight from the jump - This restaurant exceeded all expectations for a celebratory dinner for my husband’s birthday!!!
Some restaurants In DFW that have beautiful atmosphere sometimes lack in quality of food but Norman’s is the exception! I wanted a restaurant that looked lively and inviting for my husband’s birthday, not stiff or overly formal. The interior is cozy and chic without being stuffy & it has its own unique personality but in an elevated intentional way.
We did the chef’s tasting menu and we both left completely stuffed but beyond that the food was unbelievable. The food was so extremely dynamic, different flavors, different types of dishes. As a woman I loved being able to turn my brain off and allow someone else to make the food choices and the chefs did not disappoint. The fish was so fresh, the spices and ingredients were distinct, the meat was tender and flavorful. I loved the timing of the dishes being served, allowing some time between, we didn’t feel rushed or pressured to eat quickly. I love that the experience gave my husband and I time to discuss our thoughts after every dish and the staff was beyond knowledgeable and very helpful with our questions about a spice or flavor.
The attention to detail was extraordinary and not just in the food presentation but the wait staff was so friendly and personable. The table was cleaned of sauce or crumbs, fresh plates were placed making sure the plates were facing the correct way each & every time, fresh plates were provided between some dishes so the flavors didn’t muddle together. I’ve been to high end steak houses all over Dallas that do not live up to this level of experience!
This restaurant is absolutely 10/10, it has the cool patio vibe, a beautiful bar, the restaurant is equal parts interesting and beautiful. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, have a special date night, a casual meal with friends on the patio or the perfect culinary adventure to impress out of town friends
