As soon as Amy Chanta flung open the doors in 1989 Chat Thai became an instant smash hit with Sydney diners already familiar with Thailand and no appetite for compromising on ingredients, flavours, textures and aromas. We've since added restaurants in Circular Quay, Westfield Sydney, Neutral Bay, Chatswood and Galeries Victoria, and in 2015 we added organic, fresh produce from our farm in Byron Bay.     I enjoy this branch of Chat Thai because its clean, tables are spaced out and it has a lively ambience. Staff here are really friendly and attentive. Food is great!

    Whilst some people said the food takes a while to arrive, I feel this is due to their enormous menu of over 150 items. We did wait a bit but it was so worth it and we enjoyed each dish. They all tasted different from each other which was nice. The team at Chatswood were thoughtful. The weather was rainy and cold outside, so it was a nice touch to read a message on the morning of the reservation to say they would move us inside which made for a nice cozy meal. The tin water cups which I’m assuming are traditional added to the ambience and atmosphere. Thanks team, we will be back!
