The food was delicious (hummus, eggplant, lentils and rice were sooo good and my main salmon was excellent)and I am counting the days till I go back. - AAnnGoldSouthwest Florida •62 reviews4.0Dined on Sep 26, 2026Excellent food with creative, flavorful seasoning We chose Redwood Bar & Kitchen because Chef Ivan Dorvil is a Chopped winner, and we were interested in trying his food. It definitely lived up to our expectations. We started with the ceviche and grilled octopus. The ceviche was very fresh with plenty of fish, and the octopus was especially delicious—tender, well grilled and full of flavor. For dinner, I had the whole fried branzino, which was beautifully filleted and lightly dusted before frying. My husband had the Jerk Chicken Penne, and we both loved our dishes. The chef’s use of spices was the highlight—interesting, flavorful and a little different from typical restaurant fare. I personally would have enjoyed a bit more heat, but that’s just a matter of taste. The seasoning and flavor combinations were excellent. The atmosphere was also enjoyable, with a colorful mural by local artists and live music that complemented the restaurant nicely. A very enjoyable dinner with creative food, great seasoning and a fun atmosphere. We would definitely return.More infoRedWood Bar & Kitchen$$$$• Mediterranean• Hollywood•4.2
