The food was EXCELLENT we had the ribs, cornbread, and Mac n cheese. Our waitress, Samantha, was absolutely wonderful. She remembered that we were visiting from Las Vegas for his birthday and surprised us with a complimentary slice of cheesecake to celebrate. She also shared the fascinating history of the restaurant's historic 1800s building, which made our visit even more special. Although we didn't realize the restaurant closed at 8 p.m. (we're used to Vegas hours!), Samantha graciously told us to take our time and enjoy the rest of our food and wine. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and hospitality truly stood out. Samantha made us feel welcomed and never rushed. Thank you, Samantha, for making our dinner and my husband's birthday trip that much more special. I knew it was located at Oxbow Public Market, but I hadn’t realized Oxbow was such a lively marketplace filled with so many little businesses—and Bar Lucia being right next to Kara’s Cupcakes worked out perfectly for us. Our host was very nice and made me a delicious **Blackberry Frosé** to pair with a light bite. Since we were celebrating my daughter Michelle’s birthday, I had picked up candles to put on her cupcake from Kara’s. The staff at Bar Lucia went the extra mile and found us a match so we could light them. What made the moment even more special was when the other guests at the bar joined in and sang **Happy Birthday** to Michelle. It was one of those spontaneous little moments that becomes a wonderful memory.
