The food at Sticks n Sushi was fabulous - as usual! Our party chose a selection of both Sushi, Sticks and one of the vegetarian set dishes. We started with a bowl of the Grilled Edamame with soya and sesame. I've always gone for the sea salt and lemon before, but these were delicious - both sweet and savoury! Then I chose some Inari pockets with ginger and trout roe, and Japanese omelette, which were clearly cooked fresh and very tasty. Afterwards, I enjoyed several sticks, including the Sweet Potato and Teriyaki, Black Cod and Miso (my absolute favourite - try it!) which just melts in your mouth, and Momo Namban, chicken thighs which were fried with a crunchy outer coating and a tender, flavoursome chicken in sweet and sour dashi marinade. My friends also enjoyed Ceviche, and a range of other items. The ambience inside the restaurant is very mellow and relaxed with the waiting The one (and only) thing that ever lets Sticks and Sushi down, in my opinion is their very small and extremely low height Wheelchair accessible toilet. As with most accessible toilets that aren't used frequently, they are used for storing baby high-chair seats, which the waitresses did move out of the toilet so that I could at least get in there to wash my hands pre-meal, but for people using wheelchairs who can't walk or stand at all, and have to slide transfer on and off of a toilet, it renders them unable to go for their entire visit, putting a pressure on you to eat quickly and go elsewhere. Please, please, please raise your toilet to the standard 480mm toilet height so that you're inclusive!
