Great meal. The spciy beef buns to start were fantastic! Love their spicy ginger broth. Service could have been better. Waited for our table that wed had a reservation for and they sat us at 7:00 so we were denied happy hour.
A really good dinner. We had 6 people so we tried different things. Everything was very good. Only mild complaint was that service was a bit slow, but that gave us all time to catch up.
Beef and chicken Pad Thai and shrimp Pad See Eew were all delicious. We keep coming here and are never disappointed.
DC Noodles is easily one of my favorite restaurants in DC. They have comforting noodle dishes like Pad Thai, drunken noodles, and red curry that are all stand out favorites. The service is prompt and responsive. The drinks are perfectly priced during happy hour from 5 - 7 pm, and the mojito is out of this world. They do both mild and spicy dishes well, and you can request anything be prepared at a different spice level if you want. It's pretty quiet even when it's packed, so it's a great place to take a date or your parents when you want to have a conversation and a great meal. The lunch prices are also super reasonable, and the takeout is fast. I cannot recommend this place enough.
This is one of my favorite spots in DC. The food has been excellent every time and the menu gets updated for the season - so there is always something new to try!
DC Noodles has a pretty short menu which allows them to focus on making damn good noodles. Our party of five tried a little of everything: curry, drunken noodles, pad thai, dumplings, brussel sprouts and more, and it was all great. Service was impeccable. Didn't get the salmon cuz it's farm-raised -- kinda disappointing, but I'll get over it. Only complaint is the uncomfortable seating. Backless wooden benches at this price point? Let's leave the picnic tables for parks and make guests comfortable. This is America, not a refugee camp.
Wonderful food as always!
great restaurant. quiet and great service. Love the casual atmosphere but service was 5 star. will visit again. Perfect for family dinner as prices are great, also nice atmosphere for a date
It was most enjoyable except for the noise level. WAY too loud.
This was my second time at DC Noodles. My boyfriend and I like to come here for a fun Asian food date night - great cocktails and vegetarian friendly menu. We will definitely come back!!! We like that it is trendy while still being a relaxing place.
The food was very good - there was a shortage of servers it seemed so we were waiting for a while before we got to talk to a server, so we decided to just order everything at once. That worked out well and our food came out with drinks and small plates first then our noodle dishes. There was a mix up in ordering - two people wanted the same thing, so one person ordered their food and then the other said "I'll have the same thing", but it was misinterpreted as the two people were going to share one dish. It was a slightly confusing statement so it was just miscommunication, but someone had to eat their dinner after everyone else had basically finished their food because it came out later. But they were nice about it and apologized about the misunderstanding. Would definitely come back - saw a lot of people doing takeout orders so maybe we'd do that next time.
Food was delicious. Drinks were good and very strong and decently priced
My favorite restaurant in DC. We come here probably once a week for the noddles, it’s my go to spot during the week. Never too crowded and food is always amazing
We always have a great time, and leave with extremely full bellies! Our son loves the variety of noodles, and we love the variety of flavors. The beef “fun bun” was a tasty new addition, and the coconut ice cream dessert was ridiculous.
We don't often repeat restaurants, 'cause there's such a wealth of them to choose from in DC. This was our second visit in less than 6 months. The cuisine is SO tasty, and got high marks from our party this time which included a DEMANDING vegan (daughter) and a BBQ-lovin' Texan (sister-in-law). Wait-staff on both occasions has been notably engaged, friendly, and attentive-- yet never at all obtrusive-- a great balancing-act. The presentation on the plates & bowls is also delightful-- you don't expect such visually pretty food when you're just stepping in off of U Street, and it helps set the Noodle apart from its peers. The aesthetic of the interior design would truly be the only aspect at all that doesn't grab me so much-- but I recognize that's simply a matter of taste, rather than quality. The sort of constructivist/minimalist look ornamented with touches of whimsy is a neat idea-- but it still gives the space a bit of a cold "warehouse" feel, and not an inherently comfortable one. Although it's much, much nicer, it reminds me just a bit of Chipotle'--- which probably isn't what the designer was striving for. Some soft textures maybe. . . ? BUT-- we do love this place. My daughter's been putting it on Happy Cow as a solid spot for tasty Vegan options.
I have never had a bad meal at DC Noodles! Great for vegan and veggie options -- and they have awesome cocktails!
DC Noodle is one of my favorite spots in DC. That staff is both friendly & efficient. The food is great, my go to is the Burmese Kao Soi, it's full of flavor & textures.
Great happy hour selection!
Loved the soup and crispy shrimp dish. Grilled octopus not so much. But the soup is definitely a great alternative to traditional pho. Will be back!
Had a good solo dinner here the other night. Great service, prompt refills on water. Decent happy hour wine pricing ($6 for a glass of white) and super-tasty Pad See Ew. Will definitely go again.
Moderately expensive (definitely spent more money than I expected/wanted to for what I bought), but food was worth it.
The beef ragú noodles were soooo good. Best Asian noodle dish I’ve had in DC.
I love this place. The food is delicious, and it has great ambience. And it's inexpensive, especially for D.C.! They have happy hour every day until 7, and the Pad See Ew and Garden Rolls are amazing. I am a vegetarian, and this place has plenty of amazing dishes for me to choose from.
Food was excellent! Service was great! Atmosphere was terrific! There was nothing not the like. I'll be back for sure.
I did not plan on going to DC Noodle but boy am I glad I did!! Even today, I am still dreaming about their spicy, delicious drunken noodles. I was surprised by how much I liked the vibe - I thought the prices were on point and the food was awesome.
Best Thai in Dc hands down
This was a thai inspired noodle house.
Our dishes were pretty good.
Added chicken did not have much taste. Cooked plain and added separately.
The Burmese curry noodles were delicious. The Mojito was a little too sweet for my taste.
The red miso ramen is my favorite in town and never fails to disappoint! The broth is flavorful and has a good kick to it, however, it is not overwhelmingly spicy which I appreciate.
Food was delicious and service was slow.
Favorite restaurant in DC without question.
I fly to D.C. to visit my daughter and son in law about four times a year , and it is a given that we eat here when I arrive. Love their noodle soup! Definitely recommend this gem on U Street.
Excellent food with a wide variety of Asian noodle based dishes. They did a good job of making an otherwise spicy dish (as marked) less spicy.
Food was wonderful. The seating was awkward and the service was a bit slow, but it was a great experience overall.
DC Noodles is a classic favorite! Food is amazing for the value (TONS of Pad Thai for $13). The vibe is fun and the layout is energetic and always busy on the weekends and evenings. Highly recommend reserving ahead of time. The service is meh sometimes, but you won't even notice with such good food. Drunken Noodles is also a yummy option!
I love DC Noodles! It's always delicious. It's often a little bit empty, though. I'm not sure why.
Food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared! But after having all the different kinds of noodles I have had over the past 12 years, I know I can get something just as good for a much cheaper price.
Enjoyed the food and the service. Lots of different tastes and nice variety of choices with noodles. The happy hour drinks were good, but watered down. Our server was very efficient. I would come here again with friends.
