DC Prime Steakhouse
Our mission: to provide dining and culinary excellence to every guest we serve.
We serve only USDA Prime Beef, which is the top 1% of all beef in the United States, chosen to meet or exceed our owners' rigid standards that include tenderness and taste. All of our beef is supplied by Consumers Meat Packing of Chicago, IL...purveyors to many of the finest steakhouses in the United States. The same superior standards apply to our fresh seafood, sourced direct from North Coast Seafood of Boston, MA., our whole lobsters, from the cold waters of Maine and our Mero Sea Bass Steaks, overnighted from Honolulu Fish Company, Honolulu, HI.
We’ve been to DC Prime several times and the food and service have always been very good. The only “negative” comment I have is the cigar smoke ( cigar odor ) from their enclosed Cigar /Smoking area drifts into the ( dining) seating area and the Bar area. We will continue to dine at DC Prime but will request to sit closer to the kitchen area to be farthest away from their “ Cigar /Smoking area.”
Food was average. NY strip is not worth the money. Average steakhouse at best, barbecue shrimp appetizer was very good. Our waitress fell short on forgetting salads. It was a birthday celebration and they brought out a happy anniversary cake. I was too embarrassed to acknowledge the fact that she messed up the celebration. Please pay attention to details. It’s really telling when your waitress really doesn’t care about the customers experience. Unacceptable for the price points.
Food and service were great!! My husband and I shared the bone in ribeye steak and it was delicious!!
Food was good, but not worth the price. Add-ons were not specified, but added to the bill regardless.
Aside from that the atmosphere was pretty nice for most tables, ours was facing the kitchen but most other tables would be fine. The drinks were pretty good too, but also crazy expensive.
We go here frequently and enjoy the atmosphere and food. Tonight was different. Even with a reservation, we were put in a tiny room that resembled the inside of a shoe box with only 3 tables (2 to a table). It was so quite we were all whispering because of the close accommodation with no space for privacy and no background noise of a restuarant. Just dead silent and awkwardness between strangers. For that price, this was a last minute unacceptable accommodation. Without any additional complaints, we were offered free drinks and apps which tells me they knew this was not ok. We should have left but it was late and we were looking forward to having a good dinner form one of our favorite restaurants. Most annoying, there was a booth in the main dining area that was "reserved" that stayed empty while we were there. The food was good but that is only part of dining out. Ambiance is the other and I dont care to eat inside of a shoebox. I will think twice before going again. This is not the only high end steakhouse in loudoun.
We enjoyed DC Prime for the first time with some friends and we were not disappointed one bit. We normally frequent Ruth’s Chris, so we worried how our food would compare. The options were plentiful, and the steak was good. I say ‘good’ because Im not entirely a fan of the charcoaled top, but everything else was delicious! I did feel they were slightly overpriced, compared to other fine dining establishments we frequent, however the service was wonderful, and we would absolutely entertain the idea of eating here again!
We love DC Prime though not for Valentine's weekend dinner. It was so crowded that the dishes didn't have the attention that they deserved, and one of the specials ran out after we ordered it. I made our reservations over a month in advance and was surprised to see on the morning of our reservation that ALL of the time slots were available for reservations that evening when many restaurants in town were fully booked. When we arrived the restaurant was loud and packed! The reservations and walk ins should have been limited to maintain the highest level of service, food quality and ambiance especially for the price point! There was way too much hustle and bustle and noise. We will dine here again, just not on or near a popular holiday. Usually everything is amazing!
Our experience was wonderful. My wife took me to dinner for my birthday and we both agree it might have been my best birthday ever. The food and service were spectacular. It was noisy and crowded, but that only added to the experience. My NY strip was cooked perfectly; Nancy loved the salmon, and the vegetables were perfect. We came home with the biggest piece of pecan pie I have ever seen.
It is our go to always solid. Thank you for not loosing what makes you great!!!
The service is always fantastic. Had John this time and he was great. Have had Heath in the past and he was great as well.
Probably some of the best food we've ever had. I had the special filet trio with 2 Wagyu filets and a standard filet. Wife had the main menu filet trio. All meat was cooked perfectly the potatoes au gratin were delicious. Overall cost was a little on the pricey side for my taste but it was a great experience. We will definitely keep it on our list as a special occasion place to eat.
Great steakhouse! Will definitely be coming again soon.
Amazing to say the least
Valentine’s Day
Celebrated Valentine’s Day early to beat the crowds
The food did not disappoint! I ordered the Cobb (or chopped) salad and my husband the Cesar salad— both were good although I wish my salad had a crunch factor to it.
For dinner we got the bone in ribeye and the scallop pasta. The pasta was delicious with really well cooked fresh mushrooms and huge perfectly seared scallops. Steak was cooked well as well.
Finished with the chocolate cake dessert with creamy ice cream
Great job! Will be back soon!
We enjoyed an excellent porterhouse steak (shared) with sides of asparagus and mashed potatoes. All sides are generous enough to share with at least one other person. Our service was as good as it gets. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive without being intrusive...a welcome combination! We are looking to return soon for our anniversary. Highly recommend!
The Place was Amazing and the food was on point!! I will be returning here very soon!!!
Loud...food was just ok....service....inadequate....would NOT recommend
Waited for 20 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. Filet was over cooked and had to send it back, needless to say, we didn’t eat together. Dessert was awesome and the service was fine. Noisy atmosphere as there are too many tables packed into the dining room. Owner was nice and comp’d the filet, but it’s doubtful we’ll be back anytime soon.
Another great meal. Their ribeye filet is fabulous. Wedge salad was over dressed, so ask for dressing on side or chose another option!
Service and food was exceptional. Great atmosphere. Will be returning.
Started with Oyster Rockefeller and finished with Senator's Pie. In between we had Caesar salad, NY strip and a filet, and side of Brussels sprouts. Food and service was great! Only complaint is their wines by the glass very limited and nothing outstanding. Suggest adding a few more options on the high end red side.
Excellent food and service but a bit over priced. Dinner for 2 with wine but without dessert was over $200. There are a couple of very nice booths and corner tables but most of the tables are either lined up against a wall or scattered in the middle of the floor. And, the noise level was a bit high even though the restaurant was less than half full. Reduce the noise level and bring down the prices a little and this place would be excellent.
My wife and I thought the steaks were bland and not a fan of char-broiled. Over-priced and waiter was un-prepared with specials just reading off the menu.
Average at best in comparison to other high end steak restaurants.
Food amazing! Wait staff was amazing! The hostesses at the front door were miserable, rude and candidly should be let go. Not a kind word, appeared inconvenienced to seat us despite an early evening reservation, generally were apathetic and did their restaurant a horrible disservice.
Such a shame that two people with such a less than challenging responsibility have the ability to undo all the hard work of the wait and kitchen staff.
Have been many times. This visit the cigar smoke from the patio had inundated the main dining room. So much so that 12 yr old commented on the smell and clothes actually smelled of cigar smoke after returning home. Need to get a handle on this. Overall still one of our go to places but there are people who we might take here who would react very negatively to the smell of cigar smoke while eating.
We had a great date night! The server was quick to replace a bottle of wine that wasn’t good and gave excellent service. He did order me the wrong steak (Strip instead of Ribeye) and wasn’t able to correct it but I actually enjoyed the Strip so it worked out ok. Great sides and good cocktails too.
This was our first visit, we were celebrating a birthday and when the host came with a card, we were both very impressed. We didn’t want to order right away we wanted to enjoy a cocktail or two, the waiter did not hover and let us enjoy our evening
Food and service were very good although our party of two fell a little behind a party of 10 in priority. We were seated near the bar, so the noise level was a little high. That said, we will keep coming back for the food and take our chances with the ambience!
A steak house with this reputation should have more ambiance and a higher class of service. Food presentation from the wait staff was very casual and lacked a certain refinement. Overall the experience was more on par with a family restaurant.
We celebrated a birthday there with a large party and thoroughly enjoyed it! The steaks were incredible, much better than many of the other high-end surrounding steakhouses we have tried. The sides were delicious as well, and we found the wine list to be extensive with good pricing for an upscale steakhouse.
Ala cart only is always annoying. Expected wonderful steak got a very good steak. Slightly less pink than I hoped for medium. Wife picked a dish that was not exceptional. Will keep it in the rotation but didn’t find the best steak place in the area here
Another great meal at DC Prime. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Great meal, service and atmosphere.
Not many places in Loudoun that are comparable
Great and great
This is the best restaurant around. The service is outstanding. The food is outrageous! My favorite appetizers are the steak fries and the friend calamari. Their steaks are USDA prime certified and cooked to perfection. My favorite sides are the lobster mac & cheese and the potatoes au gratin. I highly recommend this fine establishment.
Our server, Stu, was supurb and attentive; anticipating our needs before we had to ask. This was my first time patronizing DC Prime but won't be my last.
We had a very nice time at DC Prime. I rated it as four stars because I think that for five stars the experience should be exceptional. I love a restaurant where the server competently guides you through the menu with confidence and discretion. I’d like to be educated about the food preparation. It’s a delicate balance, but a great server is skilled at this. Having backup from other members of the team can really help to achieve seamless, five star service. Overall, very nice.
Had a great dinner as always!
Always a great time. These guys know how to present a top notch experience all around and will always be our go to spot for a great evening.
