Delfino is a Mayfair institution among Italian restaurants, a family run business since 1953 its the place to go for authentic unpretentious food served in a relaxed atmosphere. For super thin Pizza in Mayfair, you can’t go past this little gem on Mount Street. The kitchen at Delfino also offers a variety of fresh pasta and meat dishes, and favourites include the Fried Arancini rice balls with melting mozzarella, Spaghetti with King Prawns and cherry tomatoes and the signature Delfino Pizza topped with Parma Ham, rucola and Buffalo mozzarella. Set in a grand Victorian building, Delfinos is a buzzy pizzeria that is ideal for pasta with a side order of people watching, and with its convenient proximity to Buckingham Palace and Green Park the place is always filled with an eclectic crowd of local office workers, tourists and mid-shopping-expedition yummy mummies.

    A really great meal at Delfino. The service was excellent and the Diavolo pizza was perfect with just the right level of topping and spices. Would happily go back for more !!

    They made us leave after a bit of one hour. This was not mentioned when doing the reservation. Reason: other people are waiting

    I last ate at Delfinos some years ago when it had a proper restaurant downstairs. The upper room is brightly lit. The tables are small and close together. Wine is only available in a 125 ml measure or the full bottle, no 175 or 250 ml glasses available. Having been shown a table, no sooner had my guest arrived and we had settled down, we were asked - almost told - to move to another table. I asked why and was told they wanted to combine our table to make a four. We moved. Some time later two more people arrived and took our original table. The request was peremptory; we were not thanked for moving; I felt the member of staff was abrupt in his manner. The salmon fillet and the chicken Milanese were very good. A 'discretionary' service charge of 12.5% was added to bill. I won't be going again.
