One member of the wait staff asked us if we were ready to have our plates cleared. That was fine, and we said no. Another staff member came by about 2-3 minutes later and asked the same thing. Being asked a second time so soon after the first question was a bit annoying
Best restaurant in Boston! Food was delicious. Try the cod and the duck. Service was excellent. Outside seating is perfect.
Fantastic dining experience. Elegantly prepared meal. Staff was very frinedly and well versed on all aspects of the menu.
A lovely experience for anyone who delights in the art of food, service, and ambiance. Tucked away from the bustle of Newbury Street, this is the place to dine, knowing that every detail will be spectacular! ~RW
Wow! The food was phenomenal. It was a little bit challenging being a vegetarian. But I would go back. We also love their other restaurant D bar in Dorchester!
The food was delicious, and the wine selection was excellent. Definitely a great address for a date night or a celebration.
Very pleasant staff to compliment that good food.
The chef was bold in sending out delicious surprises that kept us amused and intrigued. The servers from the doorman, throughout, were delightful and friendly, bordering on being over-attentive, but we left there very happy and wanting to go back.
Been patronizing Deuxave since it opened. Sat outside with heaters during Covid. Was one of my favorite upscale restaurants in Boston. Dinner last night was horrendous. Server only came to the table when she wanted to try to sell us something. Ordered the duck, which I always order. Wanted it medium as I always do as I like duck breast red & firm. Server said medium would take 50 mins. to prepare. Huh? How long for med rare, I asked. 45 mins. Why? Had to ask repeatedly for the bread we wanted with cocktails. Salads were fantastic. An hour later, the duck emerged gray, dried out, lukewarm, tasteless, sides tasteless also. The confit apps that my guests ordered as their mains were over-salted. Server never came to check on whether we were happy with our food. Busboy clearing plates was only one to ask how we enjoyed our dinner.
Fantastic ambiance, the food was excellent. Attentive staff, I felt like I I was in Paris.
Drinks and food were yummy. Service was impeccable. Nice to see families enjoying deuxave. Not my first time and Will definitely come back!
The charge for plain water was unusual and not appropriate. We waited 30 minutes for our first cocktail.
Outstanding service and incredibly delicious food. 100% will recommend this place to anyone
Amazing food meticulous service spectacular wines
We had a spectacular meal, lovely service and excellent cocktails and wine. An altogether delightful experience!
Our server Jose was fantastic.
The noise level was MUCH louder than in the past.
I was happy for the restaurant that they were full
If you want an upscale night out with incredible food and sensational service. This is it. Worth ever penny.
I came here for my birthday, it was an amazing experience.
Great food and service.
A wonderful culinary experience… and superb wine list
Excellent dining experience as always.
Amazing. Great food and service. Highly recommended
Deuxave had escaped my notice until this dining experience, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. The food was otherworldly, the cocktails were balanced and fun, and the service was superb (efficient & professional, knowledgeable, and fun). Will look forward to returning.
This is the third time I have brought friends to Deuxave. Every visit has been a 100% success. The food, service, creative cocktails, presentation, everything . . . just perfect. I have eaten outside all 3 times and it was lovely. I have recommended Deuxave to many people. It is a bit pricey, but worth it.
Sommelier was great as was the host and hostess. Food also great.
Service was uneven and quite slow
They were a little presumptuous, telling me I must give up my table after an hour and 15 minutes of dining. I didn’t see a rush to get in. People started leaving around 8:30 pm and no one new was coming in.. Wednesday night.
Service started strong but began to fail. I was left sitting for 20 minute stretches. The neighboring table got my dessert. By the time I left, I was doing a slow burn, even though the staff was thanking me.
I would rate the food good. The Foie Gras was heavenly.
This place seems to put on airs as a top restaurant. It’s not.
A luxury restaurant with delicious food, professional service. I brought my friends here for the first time and they really liked it. I will definitely come back here
First time back at a favorite dining spot - so glad Deuxave has survived the pandemic limitations. We took guests from NY - had requested out-door seating, but it was a rainy cold night - the restaurant could accommodate everyone indoors. It was a lively crowd and our foursome had a great time. I'll definitely go back, with or without guests.
Quality of food down from a year ago. Fish was dry, vegetables uninspiring
Some of the food was really good. Other dishes like bolognese were not great
Crudo was good but mint was slightly over-used. Duck confit was perfectly cooked and quite amazing. For the main dish, the chicken and duck were very good but halibut was slightly dry.
Amazing food. Simply perfect cuisine. Flew from Alabama to eat at this establishment. Service was Meh.
great service and knowledgeable staff
Delicious food, welcoming atmosphere……can’t wait to return.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday and the food and ambiance were outstanding and perfect for our celebration. No better place in Boston! This is one of
Our favorite places to dine.
Phenomenal food and environment, Molly was an absolute joy despite my shenanigans.
Great experience, service was perfect, kind and caring people! Really made our occasion feel special.
Very disappointing experience.
We were a group of 6. The service was very slow to serve us.
10 minutes after we ordered we were told that they only had some of the apps and not all. So we had to review the menu to order something different. One of the apps was under seasoned, we asked for salt and lemon and it took 10 minutes to get it.
One of the main courses was the duck and it was dry and overdone. That was sent back and 10 minutes later the waitress said it would take 25 minutes to get a replacement duck entree and suggested we order something different. So a different entree was ordered and 20 minutes later after the rest of the party had finished dinner the one replacement was finally served.
We asked for a 2nd bottle of wine and we were told they did not have the same bottle we needed to pick a different bottle.
It is a pricey place and one expects the service and experience to be top notch, but clearly it was not the case for us.
While a few of the dishes were good others were clearly not, the experience and the way it was handled was poor.
I would not recommend it.
The homemade tagliatelle and Bolognaise sauce were heavenly, as were the perfect scallops! The buratta appetizer was also fantastic!
