Devon Seafood Grill - Philadelphia
Dining with Devon's is always a fantastic experience. My boyfriend & I came here for restaurant week 2019 and it was amazing. The staff treated us like frequent guests (unlike other places during this time) and we didn't feel rush to eat our meals so the restaurant could seat another party. We were able to just enjoy the amazing ambiance the restaurant offers and the food was amazing. Very happy and Devon's will always be at the top of my list.
Wonderful atmosphere, great food, and waitress was outstanding.
Prices make this a special occasion place for us. We went for the Restaurant Week specials, a fixed price 3-course meal with 3 options each for appetizer, main course and dessert. Between my husband and I, we tried 6 items, and all were excellent. The lobster bisque had way more meaty lobster bits than any bisque we're tried elsewhere.
Delicious food and outstanding service although a bit pricey.
I dined at Devon's to celebrate my birthday this weekend and the food as always was exquisite!! For my birthday dessert I was served a chocolate lava cake served with raspberry sauce and a hazelnut chocolate ice cream which was mind-blowing!!
The choices presented for each course were amazing, however the food did not arrive hot. It was room temperature at best.
We travel to Philadelphia regularly to attend music functions. There are a wide variety of choices available for lunch and we usually choose Devon Seafood Grill. The meals have been well prepared and the service is first class.
Before theatre lunch. It was restaurant week and menu was very nice. 3 courses and portions were substantial and tasty. Service was excellent and our server was very helpful and friendly.
Sinclair was an excellent server! Food was great!
An excellent restaurant. I highly recommend it. Even when things got busy it was still quiet enough to have a conversation.
the food was delicious and our waiter was excellent!!! also do yourself a favor and order the blueberry rosemary lemonade!
Food was amazing!!! We came to Devon’s for restaurant week as date night it was simply delicious. Our server Ashley was great. Very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.
This wasn’t our first time dining at Devon’s, and it definitely won’t be our last! The food was delicious as always, and our server Dave was excellent!! He was very polite, professional, and made sure we had what we needed to make my Husbands Birthday dinner enjoyable!
Great Experience as always
My party and I was impressed with the overall great service, food and drinks!!!
Amazing experience, food and ambiance! I strongly recommend you to go!
The food was great and our waiter Isaac was very attentive to our needs. He made both of us feel comfortable and welcomed.
My dining experience was great the food was delicious and my server was kind and attentive. I would have given 5 stars had my desert, apple puff pastry, not lost its puff. It was not only flat but well over baked. A sad ending to a wonderful dining experience. Besides that one issue I still look forward to dining there in the future and hopefully enjoy a true puff pastry desert.
Excellent service for lunch during restaurant week. Lobster bisque, salmon and steak frites were delicious. Green beans with shallot jam would be better as garlic green beans though. Not enough flavor for me. Bread pudding was a dud, ended up sending it back.
Food was amazing!! Crab cakes were delicious!! I will definitely be back!
This was our first time dining here. We don’t normally go downtown much because of the annoyance parking. The food was amazing! I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection, best I ever had. My husband had the steak which was a good portion and very flavorful. Oysters were just average, a bit overpriced. The raspberry martini was super tasty. It was restaurant week which we did not participate in. This caused the environment to be very loud and not as intimate as desired. I would try it again even just for the raspberry martini alone!
Meh. The food was OK, the menu was OK, the service was OK, the cleanliness was OK. The oysters and the cheddar biscuit were a very good exception. The recommended crab cakes were undercooked and under seasoned. Wasn’t exactly disappointed but won’t be back.
It was superb!
Everything was amazing from the expeditious seating to the service, the fresh biscuits and my delicious crab cakes. I’d be remiss if i didn’t rave about the amazing bread pudding.
I wasn’t really happy with the food. The fish was excellent, but the green beans were subpar. I just didn’t get 5 star quality atmosphere. I’ve visited a few high end restaurants in Philly and Devon’s was recommended to be one of the best. The waitress was good too...however, after spending over $100 - I felt the food could have been much better.
I L❤️VE Devon. I dine here frequently and I don’t live in Philadelphia! I live in Pittsburgh. My sister lives in Kentucky. She introduced me to Devon. We are both in the he aviation industry...I bet you could guess which carriers!
The food is delicious and consistently good. The dining area is dark in the evening...I happen to prefer that. My favorite seating are the booths. I have been sober for over 2 decades so I cannot comment on the quality of the alcoholic beverages. I can say that the bar area seems nice, there is a large variety of specialty cocktails, a large wine list, advertised happy hours/specials and a good nonalcoholic beer(read- not O’Douls...most people that drink nonalcoholic beer had a drinking problem...NOT a tasting problem).
The servers are pleasant and professional. There once was a manager that would pretty much greet our table every visit. I happen to appreciate that procedure.
This particular visit was on a Thursday night during restaurant week. The menu is great and it is an incredible value. I was enjoying the sound track and my entree when the atmosphere drastically changed. A table of young people, 2 boys and 2 girls were seated about 5 feet away from my table. They were mostly engaged with there cell phones, not really with each other. They seemed to be bothered to have to speak to their server(which was also mine). They rarely spoke to each other. One boy thought that it was appropriate to face time for the remainder of the time that I was dining. I finished my entree and had my dessert with the noise pollution from their table. The server was very patient and professional with them.
I would have appreciated a manager to intercede on the behalf of the other patrons.
I realize that this matter is tricky... I tried not to let it bother me...it’s 2 days later and it is still on my mind. It won’t keep me from visiting Devon in the future...it will if it becomes a trend.
The food, service and atmosphere was amazing I will definitely go again !
The restaurant was very busy as it was Center City Restaurant Week. Of course, we had a reservation, nevertheless we were seated immediately. Excellent service, the waiter who was outstanding, He explained both the special menu for Restaurant Week and the special aspects of the regular menu as well. Coffee refills and other ordinary requests were handled with promptness and courtesy. Both my friend and I hadn't been to Devon Seafood Grill but will definitely return.
A friend and I decided to visit Devon’s for Restaurant Week for the lunch session. We arrived around 1140am. The hostess was kind and walked us to our table. I noticed the beautiful decor but also noticed that the floors were dirty with pieces of trash and just didn’t appear to be mopped. We were sat next to a sink with champagne glasses hung above it. That was fine until I noticed a gnat kept flying around our food and table. My assumption is that the gnat waits by the wet sink for food to come to the table. The service was great. No complaints there. We loved how the rolls were brought to us fresh from the pan by tongs to our plate. Our salad was good but the lettuce was a bit wilted. The salmon dish was delicious and the bread pudding as immaculate. I do plan on returning in the near future.
Since Me and My wife was off today. So I took her out for Brunch. We have fun. Food was delicious n our server rock🤟🏽🤙🏽🔥🔥🔥
Had a great time with a long time friend for restaurant week! Delish food!!!
My experience was great! Out waiter was very professional and knowledgeable.
My waiter Issac was great. So polite, personable, and full of life thoroughly enjoyed my first time experience here with him as my server. I ordered a lava cake and he let me know that it was made to order and took about 12 minutes to make which I didn’t mind but almost 20 minutes into waiting he was so apologetic about how long it was taking and had the manager take it off the bill which wasn’t necessary but absolutely sooooo much appreciated and thoughtful of him because it did take such a long time for the cake to come out, overall it was 25-30 minutes for the lava cake to come out which is pretty ridiculous and I was happy he went above and beyond to have it removed. The only thing I didn’t enjoy about this restaurant was how close together all the tables were and it was so hard to hear over the tables. But the food was beyond delicious and worth the noisy atmosphere.
Just happened to be Philly Restaurant week so place was packed. Excellent 3 course fixed menu options. Delicious mahi, crab cakes, lobster bisque soup. The hot cheddar biscuits were scrumptious.
Had a 6pm reservation before show at academy of music and made it in plenty of time. Easy walking distance too.
I treated my business team to a mid-afternoon lunch. The restaurant was quiet which was conducive for the meeting and the ambiance was nice. However, the table where we were seated had a gnat problem. All of us were constantly shooing them out of our face and watchful that they didn’t land on our food throughout our time there. I personally did not love my food and our waiter was not very attentive. While he poured us all water he failed to ask if we wanted any other beverages. He took an extremely long time after we were finished with our main course to ask about dessert and then he again took a long time to give us our check. While I do appreciate not being rushed through a meal I felt his lack of attention was on the other side of the spectrum. While I personally wouldn’t return I wouldn’t be vehemently opposed if a group I was with wanted to.
Would highly recommend to friends and for
We loved everything about the restaurant. Our server was great. His name was Anthony
This was the worse experience my food took over a hour it ever took over 45mins just for the bread... won't come back here due to the long wait and customer service
Dined here to celebrate my birthday and this was one of the worst dining experience I ever had. The food was horrific. I continued passed the appetizer hoping it would get better. It did not. My wife didn't even touch her entree. We had the shellfish appetizer, king crab entree and "fresh" trout entree. The food was either overcooked, taste as if they were frozen and thawed in a microwave, or simply not fresh. However, the service was okay. The manger and our server were very pleasant and accommodating regarding my allergy. Definitely look else where for seafood.
Amazing service and food. Very nice wine list.
