Fabulous experience every time. If you value trained and courteous staff and excellent food at fair prices in a lovely well cared for environment - this is your place. A gem in a sea of fast and whatever. Love this place. Shout out to Marvin and Angelo. You both are exceptional at your jobs. Kudos to the chef. Everything cooked to perfection, every time.

Volksdorf

About the restaurant

When the Daub family started running Dorfkrug Volksdorf in 1987, it quickly became one of the top restaurants in Walddörfen in the north of Hamburg. The chefs there take great pride in creating a menu that rotates every six weeks, and they use only the freshest ingredients. Whether you're looking for a night out or special gathering with friends and family, Dorfkrug Volksdorf is an ideal choice. Those dining at Dorfkrug Volksdorf can order a variety of soups and salads to start or try the wiener schnitzel or a vegetarian dish. Plenty of desserts and beverages are available, too.

A perfect location for our party of six. Hospitable, charming and friendly service. We ate at Dorfkrug in winter and a fire was lit making for a cosy ambience. A fine restaurant for those looking for freshly prepared and very good food! Many thanks

Naya impresses from the outset with its striking brick facade and ample parking conveniently located right in front. Housed in a converted barn, the restaurant blends rustic charm with modern touches with high ceilings, sleek lighting, and a stylish bar at the entrance, followed by a second bar and dining area. While the ceiling lights add to the ambiance, they create quite a glare, which can be a little distracting. The artwork on the walls is interesting and adds character to the space. We had a selection of sushi : The double tuna was well-prepared and enjoyable. The surf and turf with truffle was excellent, a definite highlight. The prawn tempura had a slightly burnt taste, and the batter wasn’t as light or crisp as expected. The salmon with avocado was decent but had a slightly fishy aftertaste. The aubergine dish was disappointing-small in portion and lacking seasoning, making it quite bland. The wine selection was reasonable, though the markups were steeper than usual. Service was efficient but minimal transactional rather than engaging. Overall, Naya offers a stylish setting and some standout dishes, but inconsistency in execution and a somewhat impersonal service keep it from being truly exceptional.
