$31 to $50
Middle Eastern
Northeast Minneapolis
About the restaurant
Saffron returns to Minneapolis with cooking deeply rooted in Palestine, centered around the hearth and shaped by the seasons and ingredients of Minnesota.
The menu from James Beard recognized Chef Sameh Wadi celebrates the Palestinian table through freshly baked breads, vibrant mezze, vegetables, meats and seafood cooked over charcoal and fire, and ingredients sourced directly from Palestine. Dishes are bold, generous and meant to be shared.

At its heart, Saffron is about hospitality: gathering around a table, passing plates, sharing a cocktail or bottle of wine, and finding joy in a meal together. It’s a celebration of Palestinian food and culture, and a new chapter for Saffron in the city it has always called home.

Sushi
Downtown / North Loop
About the restaurant
There are ninety-nine different ways to write “sushi” in the Japanese script of kanji. Each with its own unique interpretation and meaning. It was with great deliberation that our founder, Billy, chose 寿司 to best represent his personal interpretation of the word - Celebration of Fish!

That’s exactly how Billy feels about the art of making sushi and the atmosphere that surrounds it - it should be a celebration! Which is why Billy Sushi is more than just a restaurant, it is an experience for anyone who allows themselves to take part.

A three-ring performance of sorts - sushi bar, sake bar and dining room - brought to life by the performances of sushi chefs, bartenders and servers. And the Ring Master and your host, Billy.

DANIEL DEL PRADO
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Chef Daniel del Prado is the child of parents of Spanish and southern Italian descent. After moving to the United States in his early 20s, del Prado began his culinary career in Colorado—cooking at night and snowboarding during the day. Upon moving to Minneapolis, he had the opportunity to work in some of the finest kitchens in the Twin Cities. In 2009 del Prado teamed up with his mentor, Isaac Becker, to open Bar La Grassa in the North Loop.

When it came time for del Prado to open his own concepts, he burst onto the Twin Cities scene with his premiere Linden Hills restaurant, Martina, and opened the Oaxacan Mexican-influenced Colita just a year after. Chef del Prado has continued to open new and innovative concepts.
