Wine Time Artisan Kitchen & Wine Bar is a neighborhood wine bar and restaurant at Washington Square serving Mediterranean-inspired tapas, chef-crafted small plates, and an extensive selection of wines from around the world. Our rotating wine list features 24 wines by the glass, available in 3- or 6-ounce pours, along with local beers and unique craft cocktails.
Our retail wine wall features 400+ bottles, with a special focus on wines from vineyards committed to organic, biodynamic, and sustainable farming practices. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass or take a bottle home.
Join us for lunch, dinner, or a casual glass with friends. We offer reservations and walk-in seating at our bar. Every Tuesday is No Corkage Tuesday, when you can choose a bottle from our retail collection to enjoy with your meal. Wednesdays feature Happy Hour from 4–6 PM.
Open Monday–Saturday, 11 AM–9 PM. Closed Sundays.

Always enjoy my time at Wine Time at Washington Square! Great wine choices and great food… Tasty & fresh! Above all, the service never disappoints… The front reception hostess properly greets and immediately welcomes you with a smile. And, wait staff is always attentive & knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed having our out-of-state friends at Wine Time… making it a lovely Thursday evening! Happy here!

We accept reservations 30 days in advance. Please be mindful when booking, we offer 3 different dining areas. "OUTDOOR SEATING" you will be dining in our ENCLOSED ALL-SEASON PATIO. "STANDARD SEATING" you will be at a table INSIDE our main restaurant at one of our dining tables. "BAR" selection will place you at side-by-side bar seating with countertop-high bar stools. Wheelchair accessible tables or dining with service animals need to be noted in your reservation in advance. Please include ALL CHILDREN in your reservation, including infants/babies in strollers/etc. FOR LARGER PARTIES (8+) and SAME DAY TABLE AVAILABILITY PLEASE CALL THE RESTAURANT DIRECTLY AFTER 3:30 PM.

My wife and I started with their homemade bread and olive app along with their house red wine - great. We next had 2 of their meatballs - great. I had their gnocci with their "Delicate" sauce - fantastic (better than any meal I have had in Italy). My wife had their special - "Hunter's Stew" - chicken, carrots, mushrooms, and pasta - she really enjoyed it. Finished with their lemon pie (its the lemon version of key lime pie) - excellent. Great service by Madi. Very affordable for the quality and portion size. We have dinner twice each time we vacation on HH island.

Gusto Ristorante is a Northern Italian restaurant with a touch of the South at the Sea Turtle Marketplace in Hilton Head Island.
The executive chef and owner Giancarlo Balestra with his wife Nancy bring the vibrant flavors of his native hometown of Rome, Italy to Hilton Head. The couple who met in Rome 28 years ago discovered their shared passion for food and adventure and have since owned and operated restaurants in Aspen, Co, Winter Park, Fla and Saratoga Springs, NY. They fell in love with Hilton Head and decided to jump into this new exciting culinary adventure, hence the name Gusto, which means flavor and taste in Italian but also means a zest and enthusiasm for a delicious taste of life. Always enjoy dinner at Gusto!! We took friends they loved it !! The prosciutto is excellent as was the Amarone!! My wife had lobster ravioli my friends had pasta with vegetables and eggplant parmigiana . My pasta in white clam sauce was also excellent. I highly recommend Gusto, great food excellent service .

A Savannah native, Charlie Golson’s interest in the French language and culture took him to Paris. After a long stint in the fast paced hotel kitchens of Washington DC, he was ready to move back closer to home. It was at that time he was able to open up a one room French bistro. Our waitress wonderful and the food was equally as good. I had the flounder and my husband had the redfish. Both were delicious!! We don’t go to Charlie’s enough because it’s always so busy. But after last nights meal, we need to go more!!!

As we are in our peak season we are requesting that you have patience as our cuisine is made to order. You will find no precooked items and we do not use microwaves or steam tables to heat or store food. In addition, no frozen items except those that should be such as French fries or ice cream desserts.

We come here every year for a special event and always make plans to eat at this restaurant from year to year! Jess has waited on us several times before, and she is always wonderful!

In 1999 he & his daughter, Beth Anne opened Crane's Tavern & Steakhouse on Hilton Head Island, SC where it has become a local favorite
